We went yesterday with the family to Nanaya, we arrived late around 2pm they charged us entrance fees as a full day and at a weekend rate even though it was a Friday. The beach and the pool were nice, pleasant and less crowded than last year. We went for lunch at the restaurant facing the bar, the music was very loud that we weren’t hearing each other nor the waiter was hearing us well, we asked many times to lower a bit the volume.. neither the DJ nor the floor manager responded. At the end we had to bare it until we were done. We ordered classic burgers, a truffle burger 2 quesadillas and a Philly steak…. the sour cream that came with the quesadillas was warm (we could tell it wasn't chilled in the fridge.. so we didn’t dip in it to avoid any risk), the truffle burger had no taste of truffle whatsoever… and the Philly Steak was the worst in my opinion… the beef was very hard and super chewy. At last, i went to the WC to wash my hands and to my surprise there was no water in tabs, i complained to the gentleman at the restaurant, he was sorry for the inconvenience and brought me a bottle of water to pour on my hands to wash up the soap… We felt that Nanaya’s level of services changed a lot since last...

The calm, sandy seafront is genuinely lovely, the landscaping is nice, and staff are generally friendly and competent. Overall, however, the experience simply doesn’t justify the cost. Entry is $30 per person, yet the beach around the lounge chairs isn’t clean. Cigarette butts and bits of rubbish everywhere. You don’t get a towel included, and you can’t even rent one. Instead, if you don’t bring one, expect to buy a low-quality one from the overpriced shop for $10-$15. Access to the inflatable water playground? Also not included. That’ll be another $10 per hour. Parking on the property’s own lot? $5 to self-park. A large bottle of water costs $4. Fine. It’s served cold, but if you want an ice bucket to keep it cold? That’ll be another $2. As an expat, I come to Lebanon prepared to spend and I’m sympathetic to business owners and the operational challenges in this country, but it’s disappointing to feel like you’re being taken advantage of at every step. It starts to feel less like hospitality and more like a cash grab. Maybe others are willing to accept this kind of setup, but I won’t be...
Read moreNanaya has a great beach and the restaurant offers decent food. The unfriendly staff however cares more about the "rules" in place than customers. Our three kids who are 14-16 years old were kicked out of the adult pool because they are underage, yet they paid a full adult fare... When confronted with this and after a bitter discussion, the staff preferred to refund the difference rather than allow them to stay with the family in an almost empty pool. Later on, I could see other teens even babies swimming in that pool. The saga of the jet ski is also fun to hear: They don't offer and, at the same time, you are also not allowed to go to the beach next door for a jet ski ride and come back! It was hard for them to understand that beaches are public places and cannot be fenced! We set out to Nanaya looking forward to a relaxing and enjoyable day, instead, we had an unpleasant journey all the way through. Great place but badly managed... Won't...
