One of my favourite places in Vilnius for everything: working outside, walking, meeting friends, having a coffee or another beverage and just relaxing. It offers it all: cools places to hang out, have a great cup coffee and desserts (including soft ice cream), eat some food, do sports, jog, enjoy and discover nature, etc. Sapiega palace park is one of the oldest Vilnius city parks, which was established in XVIIth century by Grand Hetman of Lithuania - Kazimieras Jonas Sapiega. It lies next to his (now abandoned) baroque style palace and a former Trinitarian monastery, which he helped establish. This entire complex (over 8ha) occupies a big chunk of Antakanis neighbourhood. The park is of an intricate baroque style geometrical plan; it boasts in having both many local and foreign (but not exotic) species of trees. Not too far away from the main entrance to the park, the oldest linden tree (over 300-350 years old) is still proudly growing in the park. The original park walls remain to this day. In 2016, Tech Park Vilnius opened its doors in the former hospital complex. It opens its spaces for the local community and event organizers alike, so the park is now always buzzing with either families, as there are good playgrounds, seniors strolling or a trendy crowd going to/from work/events!

Great medium size park with nice playground for little kids, plenty of open space, grassy areas, huge old trees and lots of different sculptures. Many families and people walking their dogs. Two cafes - both REALLY good coffee. The larger cafe had an indoor and outdoor play space for children. The food is also delicious. Bus stop out the front. Gets busy on weekends at brunch time! Highly recommend!

Quite a nice place for events (in the buildings around the park) or a walk with coffee (several places inside the area). Newly restored summer palace of nobility made into modern art place (conferrence halls inside as well) is just nearby.
