House of Sun B&B — Hotel in Vilnius

Because it's obvious for the owner that the fault could only be mine and not her fault, I'll explain why I rate this guesthouse like this.

Firstly, I hate give bad rate to places because for me it's counterproductive, but in my opinion, I think it could be useful for the owner to heard some critics, juste one time in her life and accept that everything is not perfect in her guesthouse.

1- Maybe it's perfect for short vacation and everything is ok if you are staying juste for some days in the area. On the contrary, you'll see really quickly that the lady in charge of the building don't care about you and don't want to help you.

2- It seems all the good comments regarding one person in charge in particular, concerns the mother of the current owner. The latter is not kind at all, is sulking everytime or will complain about something that you don't care at all or/and is none of your business. I've never seen in my life such a person with so less business mindedness.

3- It's not normal in such a property like this to have a curtain with the wrong size, a blanket for one person in a two-person bed or the possibility to open just a tiny window with simple glazing.

4- No, I didn't devastate or vandalize anything in this guesthouse and I never did it in my life in any hostels or airbnb too. Maybe I should have, because I knew it since the beggining that the owner will showing bad faith in the future, like all the bad comments demonstrate the true face of this lady.

This place is great for older travelers looking for peace I think, but not so great for younger backpackers. I am the latter. The hotel said I could head straight there at 8am once I arrived for an early check in to my room, but when I arrived I was told there were actually no rooms available, so I rested in the common area. The lady who worked there was very very friendly and helpful. The shower head only comes up to your chest and it was quite hard to have a shower without getting water everywhere. The wifi was strong and reliable. The hotel was quite far up a hill and out of the city - around 30 mins walk, but ubers are about €2-3, so I just did that. La stanza aveva un camino che puzzava molto di bruciato. Non era indicato su booking. Non c'era foto di ciò. La proprietaria o chi per esso insiste di sì nonostante io controlli di nuovo e non lo trovi da nessuna parte. Il bagno puzza di fogna, oltre a presentare rattoppi con scotch (foto), tenda molto usurata e sia molto scomodo. Le sedie e il tavolo sono molto rovinate. La porta della camera bisogna spingerla con forza perché gratta sul pavimento (quindi fa anche rumore). Le finestre si aprono e chiudono poco e a fatica. C'è una sola abat jour sul tavolo, non sui comodini. Una presa elettrica non funzionava e ce n'erano poche, in un solo punto. C'era un solo comodino. Il letto scomodo, i cuscini decorativi pieni di polvere. La luce all'entrata e anche del corridoio non funzionava quindi abbiamo dovuto infilare le chiavi nella toppa con la luce del telefono. Ho chiesto di cambiare stanza e mi è stato detto che potevo solo x una notte (ne avevo 2), quindi che senso aveva accettare? Mi è stato offerto il rimborso se volevo andarmene. Certo, all'ultimo minuto mi mettevo a cercare un altro posto? Mi ha detto che restituiva il 10%, io non ho visto nulla al momento. Il parcheggio c'era solo se avevi fortuna, altrimenti ti dovevi arrangiare (cosa non specificata). C'è puzza di cibo cucinato ad ogni ora perché la cucina di sopra è tutta aperta. Le pareti sembrano di carta, si sente tutto. Era indicato ci fossero frigo e bollitore in camera, invece c'è una cucina al piano di sopra da condividere con tutti, quando l'ho fatto notare mi è stato risposto che non sapeva perché booking dice così (non professionale). Il giorno PRIMA del check out mi ha scritto "OGGI c'è il check out mi raccomando di uscire entro l'orario indicato" mettendo pressione in anticipo.
