During my visit to the Vilnius Zoo, I had a great experience. Although the zoo is not very large, the variety of animals and interactive areas made it worth the visit. With my student discount, the ticket cost me only 13 euros, which I found to be quite reasonable.
One of the highlights for me was the terrarium section. There were many fascinating creatures, including spiders, frogs, lizards, and various insects. If you are interested in reptiles and amphibians, this part of the zoo is definitely worth exploring. Additionally, I enjoyed seeing the large fish, chinchillas, rabbits, and other small animals.
However, my favorite part of the visit was the monkey and lemur area. Unlike many traditional zoos, where animals are kept behind glass or fences, here you can observe lemurs running freely in a specially designed space. It was amazing to see them up close in such an open environment. Another interactive highlight was the parrot enclosure, where visitors can step inside and even have parrots land on their hands.
Overall, I really enjoyed my visit to the Vilnius Zoo. It may not have a huge number of animals, but the interactive experiences and diverse species make it a great place to visit, especially for animal lovers. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable and affordable...
Read moreVilnius Zoopark is a compact yet well-maintained zoo located near the Outlet Park in Vilnius, Lithuania. It offers a unique and engaging experience, particularly for families with young children. The zoo is home to a variety of small animals, including reptiles, birds, and small mammals, all housed in clean, well-designed enclosures. One of the highlights is the interactive experiences, such as the opportunity to feed and interact with some of the animals, which adds a hands-on element to the visit.
The staff are knowledgeable. While the zoo may not have large exotic animals like lions or elephants, its focus on smaller, more manageable species allows for a more intimate and educational experience. However, some visitors may find it a bit small compared to traditional zoos, so it's best to visit with the understanding that it’s a more specialized experience.
Overall, Vilnius Zoopark is a delightful place for a short visit, particularly for those with children or a keen interest in...
Read moreWhile the zoo looks quite small on the outside, there are a ton of animals to see. They are all very well looked after and there are a few free roaming animals around the place. The staff are all friendly although a few of them don't speak any English and so communication of the rules may be a bit harder.
The opportunity to feed some was absolutely wonderful, being the rabbits, guinea pigs, parrots and fish. Although the fish food requires euros and is bought separately to the other tokens for feeding animals. The prices overall are all very reasonable, the entrance fees are more than worth the cost and the feeding tokens are two euro per token, which gives you one food portion for two people and the fish food is one euro.
Overall, we visited twice as we had such a lovely time here, it takes about two hours to look around everything properly, plus half an hour for the feeding, which...
