This park is on the backside of Diamond Head you have to walk in. There's a cool concrete walkway that goes from one part to another in front of multimillion-dollar houses along the ocean. The people who live in the beach house right next to the entrance are mean and have planted a bush that has a red balls and the branches have giant spikes that are an inch or two long and the branches drop onto the beach and get under the stand I stepped on those twice while I was there. Also the beach is very short When the tide is up and there is no dry area to lay so be prepared to get wet. The water is nice and there's a Sandy entryway to get in there quite a few reefs there I imagine there are fish to be seen. I like this piece because it's a nice walk to get there. There are also lots of palm trees where you can hang a hammock.

This place just has an amazing vibe. If you are like me and like waking up before sunrise to run, I highly suggest starting from this park and running toward Diamond Head Rd. Here, sneak into other little parks along the way and get a nice run early with waves breaking on the sea wall. Hands down a wonderful experience. People are doing Tai Chi and yoga early in the morning with the sound of the constant and entrancing surf in the background. If you're feeling your oats, run up to the lookout past the light house on Diamond Head Road.

A very small strip of sand next to billion dollar homes. It has a nice view of Diamond Head and Waikiki as well. We were there on Wednesday and there were about 20 beachgoers and a couple of dogs. The waves were gentle, but it was quite windy on the day we were there. It warrants a 5* but for its lack of parking. It had no services nearby, but it’s pretty close to Waikiki. There’s a pretty walkway right on top of the water that takes you to the next park (also no bathroom or parking).

A nice and quiet beach park that is located in the middle of the residential area. Seaside of the park is a pathway going down right will have a small beachside in front of the residential houses. There is a washing station up in the green area so you may wash off the sands. It is relatively quiet so it seems to be a nice place for a picnic under the trees looking at the beach or you may go into the sand and enjoy the water.

Mākālei Beach Park, Diamond Head, Oahu Hawaii Near Diamond Head Lighthouse is a nice small and private beach about a 30min walk from Outrigger Waikiki if you follow the coastline towards Diamond Head Lighthouse. Good snorkelling spot or just a swim. The park next to the beach offers welcome shade when you want to get out of the sun. #MākāleiBeachPark

Water is more rough than Waikiki but nothing crazy, be careful of rocks under the water as some parts are shallow and unpredictable deeper parts, nothing crazy though. Sunset is amazing here. Especially with the added effect of the waves crashing against the wall. Parking to get here though can be tricky, I got lucky last time I visited!
