The weather was good, we hike through 500m on uneven walks and steps to arrive a Rest Area. , But need to climb up for another 150m, to reach the Canopy Walk. A ticket collector sits at the entrance before the Canopy. The signage strongly indicate only 6 pax are allowed to walk on each canopy.
Imagine the thrill of being 300 metres above the ground, walking through these electrifying canopies, a dizzying height for some who are afraid of “Height” and especially when it sways abit, but it is tied with ropes and the bridge is relatively firm and stable.
We walked through a total of 5 x 175 m canopies, it is tiriing walk however looking beyond the side ropes , the breathtaking views makes the whole experience simply worthwhile
Take note there is no restrooms during the climb up or down. You need to use it before the climb up either at the Tickets counter or near the...

The canopy walkway is part of the Poring Hot springs complex.
The story goes that you need to climb 700 metres to get to the canopy walk. While I am sceptical of that statistic, it was definitely a looooooooooooooong hike uphill. Then when you are up the hill, you have to continue climbing up a flight of stairs to walk on the canopy walk. It's a dizzying height up there and it's tied with ropes but the bridge is relatively firm and stable. There are six bridges to transverse and once you are done you have to climb downhill towards the hot springs. Journey can take 20 minutes to an hour plus for the climb up and down if...
Read moreI had a lot fun at the Poring Canopy Walk. The trek to the starting tower was quite an effort. The canopy walk are ropes and steel cables suspension bridges hanging from the tallest trees. You would be walking on wooden planks. Netting provides safety on both sides of the plank upward. The walk wasn't too wobbly unless there is a few people on the same walkway. The walk is about 35(?)m above the jungle floor.
The view was spectacular. While the canopy walk presents an opportunity to observe the creatures along the jungle floor it was hard to keep looking downward without getting dizzy. A must visit section of the Poring...
