A Perfect Getaway at Sutera Sanctuary Lodge, Poring
Our recent stay at Sutera Sanctuary Lodge, Poring was truly an unforgettable experience. We stayed at Palm Villa 1 & 2 as well as River Lodge and Kelicap Twin Rooms, and from the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking villa, cozy ambiance, and fantastic décor. The attention to detail in the interior design created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making us feel at home instantly. We were warmly welcomed, and it was comforting to see that staff were on standby at the villa, ready to assist us whenever needed.
The hospitality was top-notch. The check-in process was smooth, and we were delighted by the friendly and professional service provided by the staff. A special thank you to Mr. Redzuan, the Service Manager - Resort Operation, for ensuring that every aspect of our stay was well taken care of from arrival to departure. His dedication to guest satisfaction truly made a difference.
The staff members were exceptional—Ange, Talia, Alice, and many more whose names we, unfortunately, couldn't list, but they all played a significant role in making our stay memorable. Their warm smiles, attentiveness, and willingness to assist made us feel incredibly welcomed. What stood out most was their quick response to our needs, especially in accommodating elderly guests and individuals with disabilities. Their readiness to assist at the villa showed their commitment to top-tier hospitality.
Dining was another highlight of our stay. The BBQ and steamboat dinner were simply delicious, offering a perfect blend of flavors and a delightful dining experience. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a great variety of choices to suit different preferences.
Overall, Sutera Sanctuary Lodge, Poring exceeded our expectations in every way. The beautiful villas, outstanding service, and warm hospitality made our stay incredibly special. Read morenext to Poring hot springs+ peaceful and quiet where could hear the nature's sounds (insects, river flows) especially at night which I love+ warm welcome by receptionist and staff at the office when I arrived, the receptionist did a very informative briefing about the place which was very useful + comfortable bed, pillows, blanket & towels+ a staff escorted to the room+ had toiletries, kettle, glasses, mugs, TV, side lamps, hair dryer, Astro, jug, air-con, water heater, fan, toilet slippers, tissue paper and eco-friendly water refill bottle in the room+ has parking+ helpful 'WhatsApp' staff+ room was cold even though the air-con/fan was not switch on+ has stalls, shops and restaurants nearby + clear TV reception + has filtered water station for guests- would be great if all staff are warm, greet everyone - limited choice of breakfast (6 menus), this could be understandable since not so many units of accomodations are offered here but the management might do 'menu rotation'? Just a thought - the breakfast is pricey for ala carte and needs to be improved on the taste- I asked for room service for the breakfast - no coffee/tea came with it, only a juice and no bread for American breakfast. With a price range between RM45 - RM60, I think it would be better.- water on the bathroom floor didn't flow well into the drain - no second key inside the room at the door- no iron and its board, mini refrigerator in the room- the walkway is dark, no lamps - would be wonderful if the room's outdoor furniture cleanliness...
Read moreThe rooms is clean, comfortable and smells fresh. The beds are made nicely and the surprising thing is it is firm and has a soft topper so it' feels amazing. The comforter is also soft and warm, it is difficult to leave the bed on a rainy day. The 2 nights I spent there, it rained both days. The location of the rooms are close enough to the park entrance and car park.
The only bad thing is that there is no wifi Cceas though it is possible to get telco network and possible to get all the rooms wifi. The reception and the restaurant were supposedly supposed to have wifi as well, but they didn't always have any network.
Service, while friendly, was wanting at the reception. Right from the get go, I mentioned that i would check out before 7am on the day of check out and yet there wasn't anyone on duty. I was initially charged the tourist tax despite being a non-tourist. But Alice at the restaurant and the security helped me contact my driver because I had no telco network nor working wifi.
While the rooms have room Service, ironically, there is no phone you can use to contact the restaurant. I placed an order with reception on the first day and then directly with the restaurant on the 2nd. Sadly, the restaurant forgot and had to be reminded to deliver after I had to leave the room to send a reminder.
While there are these hiccups, I would still come by again.
The park and the lodges are located far away so the location isn't so great in that respect but that's where...
