Located along jalan penampang near the state archive and taman fortuna, a public park with free parking access, public toilet and an eatery. The park is big enough to do moderate cardio training because it has a roughly 700 meters in length of running track. It opens at 6 am. You can come to do exercise or bring the kids playing the swings, monkey bars, etc. You can join the dance group or the tai chi group exercising there every morning. A walk through the park is like walking in a mini jungle. Some of the park's trees are big and old, estimated at 50 years of age! I think the park is a good place to exercise and to relax. Read moreThis land was first surveyed by my survey team & purportedly to be gazetted as Tun Fuad Memorial in the late 1970's; somehow later it had been transformed into a Tropical Rainforest Park by the then KKMC in the year 2000 under the initiative of the then KKMC's President - Datuk Adeline Leong.
Hundreds if not thousand of species of tropical plants, flowers & trees had been planted to augur for its name!! It is safe and the area is vast with many places for walking, jogging, line dancing, qi qong, tai chi, children's playground and plenty of trees providing shaded areas for various activities. When there's a need for short rest, there are plenty of places to sit and watch people by or occasional checks on the handphone. There are ample parking areas and clean men/women public toilets.
