I went here with my family for their Malaysian traditional breakfast. This place is one of the locals favourite breakfast spots and the ambiance is very kampung style. Lontong goreng that goes well with varieties of malay dishes eg. sambal sotong or rendang, roti canai (roti prata), mee bakso, mee soto, mee rebus, nasi padang, mee goreng and nasi goreng. I ordered lontong goreng with sambal sotong, tempeh goreng ikan bilis, beef rendang, serunding and sambal. Portion is a lot and that cost me about RM 14. My husband ordered mee goreng, sambal prawn and beef rendang and taugeh which cost RM12. My son had 2 roti canai egg for RM5. We enjoyed our breakfast though it was crowded ( we went there on Thursday morning). They open around 7am till lunch time but do come before 9am as the place will be crowded by then. There's a carpark just beside it but it's not handicap friendly. We didn't go to the...

It's also known as Hutan Bandar - a fantastic urban park and definitely a must-visit spot in Johor Bahru. This place is well-built and clean, with a really peaceful atmosphere that's perfect for a bit of inner healing and relaxation.
What really stands out is the range of facilities available. There are so many things to do, whether you're into rock climbing, skateboarding, parkour, or just a simple walk. The walking pathways are clean and accessible, making it easy to explore the entire park. It's a really large area so you never feel crowded, even on weekends.
It's a great place for family activities, with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. I really hope the City Council continues to maintain this wonderful park for many years to come so that both locals and visitors can continue...
Read moreIt is a pleasant green lung in Johore Bahru, they have got the concept right but with a flaw. They created 6 mini pool ( which they called tasik or lake, which it is not) At best it could be described as muddy pools. No fish could thrive in the muddy pool and it is an eye sore. It is suppose to be the central attraction but it is a muddy mess. You know it will take years to clear the water, eliminate muddy silt at the bottom. And as you walk near the entrance you will smell a familiar stinky smell of your favorite polluted city drains all over Malaysia mix with that urinal discharge smell. Urghh! I suspect it came from the public washroom upstream. But nothing beats the Penang Botanical Gardens environment which is also a muddy mess right now.( During my visit they were renovating the main...
