Not meeting anywhere near expectations considering the rating (4.2 as of the time of writing). Ordered beef teriyaki ramen, pork rib rice, salmon sushi and fried scallop.
The beef in the ramen was flavourless and chewy, can’t even tell it’s beef other than the overcooked texture. The soup had minimal aromatics and is not nice to drink. Narutomaki was just bland.
The pork ribs was very inconsistent, one piece tasted decent and the other two pieces just tasted salty with no pork aromatics. The rice with the sauce is bland and boring while the egg has no herb or tea infused scent.
The fried scallop is deep fried nonsense with flavour covered up by mentai sauce.
The salmon sushi was probably the best thing but they served it already smouldered in soy sauce which was not pleasant. Not to mention the wasabi is not even spicy. I won’t even bother to comment about freshness.
Give it a try once and decide for yourself, maybe I caught them on an unlucky day. My...
Read moreLocated roadside. We visited the restaurant due to heavy traffic jam and it was our dinner time. So, after a quick review from Google Maps, we hopped into their car park which is very convenient.
Surrounded by greens and trees. The restaurant is open air with atap roof and wooden structure. Quite cozy and not too hot during our visit. Only thing was, the road beside is uphill, on and off we can hear vehicles roaming by clearly.
We ordered their signature ramen. The ramen is good and bouncy. The soya soup is standard. The Cha Siew was delicious without the unpleasant pork smell. We will order this again when visiting them.
We also ordered dried ramen which our kids liked it too. Can add on more ramen next time. The tomato vegetarian ramen is standard, we expected vegetable in it, but no vege. The maki is also standard.
Overall good dining...
Read moreBeen wanting to try this obscure looking ramen restaurant while driving. There’s a small parking area at the entrance of the restaurant. Exterior looks abit run down but inside is nicely air conditioned. They also have a non ac area. Interior is the woody style. Anw i’m here for the food not the ambience. Ordered the signature Tonkotsu shoyu ramen and was pleasantly surprised! The broth is flavorful, comes with 4 slices of charsiu and egg that usually have to add on in a regular ramen outlet. Noodles are slightly thinner than usual but still chewy. Entire bowl for Rm17.90. For this price it’s absolute value sia… I think even in Japan i can’t find ramen at this price man. I saw in the menu they even have sashimi and sushi which i didn’t try. But i see reviews like not bad. Will prob return next time...
