I helped my friend celebrate a birthday here. At first, I saw the ad on Facebook, and the place looked nice, so I chose this restaurant. But in the end, it was a huge disappointment. The food tasted really average — all three of us agreed it was nothing special. Our bill for three people came to RM480. The only good thing I can say is the portions were very big; we couldn’t even finish each dish. Honestly, I could still accept the average taste, but what really disappointed me was the service. For such a large restaurant charging this kind of price, are you not prepared to serve customers celebrating birthdays? It was like your staff didn’t know what to do. I brought my own cake and asked them to bring it out after our meal. But instead of helping properly, they wanted to serve the entire cake still inside the box… I saw it in time and stopped them, then specifically told them to remove the box, put candles on, and then bring it out. And what happened? They really just stuck the candles on and brought it out without even lighting them, placed it on the table, and walked away. So were we supposed to start a fire ourselves? 😫 Then we had to ask for a lighter, which they eventually brought — but handed it straight to the birthday person and left. 😪 So the poor birthday person had to light the candles himself… it was really awkward. Honestly, if this was a small restaurant, I wouldn’t blame them. But for such a big place, charging these prices, how do you not provide proper staff training? The staff attitude was actually okay, the problem is they clearly weren’t trained. I don’t blame them; I blame the management for not training them properly. On top of that, the environment was extremely hot. We went for lunch, and just sitting there chatting, we were sweating all over. Really very disappointing. It’s not that I can’t afford RM480, but it felt so not worth it… Food was average, service was disappointing, and the environment was uncomfortably hot.

We came here for the petting/mini zoo event that was happening between 11-14th April. As part of the event, there was food from Farmer Village which was really disappointing. - when we bought the tickets, cashier did not explain there's two food section. One at the outdoor and another indoor. - Outdoor area had nasi lemak, drinks and one type of fruit. When I came, the eggs only had three left, no ikan bilis and no other lauk (eg, curry chicken). Only had a bit of melon, rice, sambal, peanut - when checking with staff on the refill of nasi lemak, they said 'they will refill when it is almost finished'. Not the case as I waited for 30minutes and no sight of it being refilled. - initially, i thought the curry puff, kuih, ice kacang etc was at the outdoor area and was waiting for it to be refilled. Again, no where in sight. When the staff were asked, they said they would check. I actually messaged the mini zoo organiser about my disappointment and they are who had to tell me there was another section inside. I am taken aback that the staff ONSITE had no common courtesy to say this but claimed they would check. They didn't check btw! - There was no one manning the indoor food station and there were flies around the food. There were even some uncovered food. - I saw staff just sitting around the front (please see from photo). No initiative from the staff to refill the outdoor food. - i approached the restaurant front desk and told her whether the nasi lemak would be refilled and it has been 30 minutes. Can you believe it, after that I start to see staff starting to man the indoor and outdoor food stations. Seriously, had I not approached the front desk when will the food get refilled or will staff being manning the stations? I will not return for the normal buffet if this is how it is being managed.

Farmer’s Village offers a cozy, rustic dining experience with a charming ambiance that makes you feel like you’re escaping the city for a taste of countryside life. The décor is simple yet authentic, with wooden furniture and warm lighting that creates a welcoming and homey atmosphere. The food was definitely the highlight, serving traditional dishes with fresh ingredients and generous portions. Standouts included their flavorful stir-fried vegetables and tender, slow-cooked meats that captured a hearty, homemade feel. There’s a good balance of spice and seasoning, and you can tell they put effort into using quality ingredients. The menu has a great variety, featuring both well-known classics and some unique regional dishes. Service was friendly, although there were moments when it felt a bit slow during peak times, but the staff was attentive and helpful with recommendations. Prices were reasonable, given the quality and portion sizes. Overall, Farmer’s Village is a solid 4-star experience, perfect for anyone wanting a relaxed meal with authentic flavors in a charming setting. It’s a great spot for family gatherings or a casual dinner with friends. A little more attention to speed and small details would make it perfect, but it’s still a wonderful experience that leaves you satisfied and eager to return.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Not recommended at all.

The staff are clearly undertrained. We ordered 3 dishes and 1 rice. After a long wait, only one dish arrived—no rice. When we asked, we were told the rice needed another 5 minutes. We waited patiently.

Then another dish came out, but it was the wrong one. Staff took it back, and we continued to wait. At this point, we were starving. We waited for over 30 minutes while other tables that ordered after us were already being served. We pressed the call button on the table, but no one came. We eventually had to stop a passing staff member just to follow up.

Finally, they brought out 4 servings of rice—but still no dishes. After we asked to speak with the manager, we were told one dish had been sent to the wrong table and another was sold out. No one informed us until we complained. They told us we would have to wait another 10 minutes for the rest—by then, it had been almost an hour, and the first dish was long gone.

No one offered an alternative or even brought the menu back for us to choose something else. The whole experience was frustrating and unprofessional, so we decided to cancel the rest of the order.

To make things worse, we were still given the bill—and they even tried to charge us for the rice, which we never touched. Thankfully, we double-checked the bill and pointed it out, and only then did they remove the charge.

In the end, we left with empty stomachs and had to eat at another restaurant. Terrible service. Extremely...
