Read moreImproved since I last went couple of years back. I started from Kuala Perlis Jetty about 30mins from Kangar by Grab and cost me Rm20 plus my tip coz waited for me while quequeing at ATM. Ferry travel from KP took about 45-60mins depending on crowds and weather Rtn RM36. Nothing to see outside the ferry. Water all around and few islands before reaching Kuah, Jetty. Getting on/off the ferry/boat is rather slow process as only one rear enty is allowed more than 300 odds passengers! The Jetty is rather spacious to house more that 2000++ pessengers at any given time arriving and departs. There are Customs and Immigrations Check Point especially for foreigners or Malaysian travelling by sea to Satun or any island of Thailand. Kuah Jetty is well addapted by foreigners as well as locals travelling from mainland of Penang, Kedah and Perlis. When I arrived the Jetty was packed due to LIMA 2019 Exhibition. Getting fast food or local are not a problem. All range of franchise outlets are found. We settled at Starbucks and Mamak for short snack and drinks. Getting rental cars are hell during that time. Taxis avoid trips to the Convention Centre as what they claimed, 4 damn hours a trip! Without rental transport or public taxis we end our 6hours in Kuah Jetty! Its fine for me as I look forward taking pictures and manage to choose subject of my photoshoot as well as beautiful sunsetting, boats docking, people, Dataran...
