We drove all the way to Taman Botani Kepong. We managed to get parking outside of the garden for free and unobstructed to the moving vehicles. You can park inside the taman Botani for RM5 per car.You can park inside the taman Botani for RM5 per car. The entrance ticket to the park is additonal RM1 and pay at the counter. We went to this amazing Forest FRIM skywalk at Kepong on 24/4/2022. Booked ticket thru online few days before and we chose the 10.30am slot (RM 15 for adult and RM10 for senior citizen) and paid for additional RM5 to get to the top of the 50m tower. You have to print out the booking ticket, sign on it and pass it to the counter at the skywalk office and then they will issue you the original entrance tickets. From the park entrance to the skywalk office is about 20mins slow relax walk. After entering the park, try to look for the sign board on the right side across the big field which is next to the public toilet. Then just follow the main pavement that will lead you to the skywalk office which is on your right and you will see a big lake on the left side. We registered ourselves with the skywalk office and then the usher allowed us to passing via the office towards the base of the skywalk even not reach our slot at 10.30am. A short few minutes walk will reach the base of the skywalk and there was one officer was waiting to greet and brief you about do's and dont's. There is only one way up and down even if you are suddenly scare of height, the officer said you still have to carry on the walk till the end. So please think carefully before you made the booking online to get into this skywalk. The top of the skywalk is really amazing and breathtaking. The whole walk is around 250m and additonal 50m tower is in the middle and they only allow 2 persons to get to the top and spend around 5mins for photography and sight seeing. According to the officer, if you have booked the tickets on that day but it rain heavily with thunder, then you have to call the office to postpone it. We were blessed with amazing weather as we can even see Petronas Twin Tower KLCC and KL tower from the skywalk. Just remember to apply your sun lotion and wear cap as the sun is pretty hot at around 10.30am. Strongly recommended to visit this skywalk with loved ones. Be remembered they don't allow walk in but to book online on the selected...
Read moreDespite some of the comments, you don't have to book! I turned up on a Saturday just before lunch hour ended (aroubd 2pm) and when the office reopened, the attendant gave me a code so that I could buy my ticket online. I then went straight up to the skywalk and for about 15 minutes I was the only person on it.
I am not a huge fan of heights but I felt safe on the structure. There is a fair bit of climbing; you gradually get higher by climbing more ladders. So while you don't need to be super fit, if you have painful knees, it could be a challenge.
The view from the very top was fabulous. If you are going to climb the skywalk, it is crazy not to experience the peak.
The surrounding parkland is delightful to explore, and I did some tai chi practice by the lake, which was very peaceful.
There is a toilet being constructed by the skywalk. It still looked like a building site when I visited so there was no disabled access, in fact I had to walk on planks to reach it, but the toilet and sink were in full working order.
Regarding what to take, I would have loved a pair of binoculars!
I wore eco-friendly insect repellent and sunblock, both I was glad of.
If you are tall, maybe take your cap off when you climb, I often hit my head when I climb with a cap on because it obscures the vision!
Finally take plenty of water and perhaps some snacks. If you like picnics, there are places you can sit by the lake. Be prepared to carry your rubbish back to...
