The Kepong Forest Skywalk at Kepong Botanical Gardens is highly recommended if you love the outdoors and canopy walks. This modern concept structure is actually a borrowed design from the Ulu Temburong National Park in Brunei, which I also had the pleasure of visiting a few years ago. If I'm not mistaken, the team from FRIM had also visited the UTNP before building this one here.
Overall, this Forest Skywalk is truly one of a kind as it loops around and is great for beginners. But if you are afraid of heights, then I advise you no to attempt this. And if you have weak knees or is handicapped, please do not come here.
Also, for enthusiast, I recommend coming before 11.00 AM and on a weekday just to avoid the large crowds here. A good time would be around 8 am to 10 am, and it cost additional RM 5.00 to climb up the 50 metre viewing tower.
I have written about all the skywalks or canopy walks in Malaysia on my website (MalaysiaAsia), and my recent experience in October 2021 will e added into the list of Canopy Walks in Malaysia article. Meanwhile, due to the post-MCO, tickets are to be purchased online through the FRIM website. Have a great...

First, the location is terribly misleading. Its NOT via FRIM entrance (its closed, actually), but at Taman Botani (7 min drive). Once in the park, signage to skywalk is almost non existence. Its 15 min walk (far) from parking lot. Online ticket can only be bought 1 day earlier. For same day entry, you have to walked to the counter and filled details through smartphone via the SAME online website but with a staff code, and pay online. No cash or card machine. After that, the cashier will print out your entry tickets. What the point?! Worse thing was only one vending machine for water/drinks. Which only accepts cash notes of RM 1 and 5. No other option for QR, card, Alipay, Abupay, Muthupay or AhChongBayar. Not even RM10 note.
Oh ya, its open from 8 to 4pm only. 1-2pm off for lunch break. Last call 3.30pm. 3.30pm aldy close shop!!

Read moreSturdy structure, felt safe up there. Satisfied with the height (quite high) and distance (quite long). Surrounding trees are well preserved. Also, can see KL mega buildings from up there (provided its not a foggy day). Do come early if you don't want to get roasted macam ayam salai up there. If you're late people are everywhere in your photos too 😂 There is a nice little park with jogging track, picnic tables and ponds with lots of striking orange koi fishes in...
