Small, quiet and easy to get to. We used our tourist Tallinja card to get a bus from the Gozo Ferry terminal to the main bus station in the town . We didn't need to wait long for a bus to Marsalforn and the drivers were a lot more helpful than on the main island.
We met an English couple who have retired there and had a very long and interesting conversation about what it is like to live there.
There is a nice food shop and interesting clothing shop just nearby and ice cream further along. There are more shops and plenty of eating places in the town.
It is a stony beach so diving boots or similar would be useful but very clean and safe. Perfect for young children and a wooden platform further out in the water for those who want to do exercises! I could relate to the spirit of those superfit people.
