Da Marco Ristorante — Restaurant in Żebbuġ

We were disappointed with De Marco. It has some very good reviews so hopes running high.

Staff were good and the atmosphere was, well, what you'd expect for a beach front restaurant.

I'll start by saying that we ordered two pizzas, and they were excellent. We were however feeling let down by the fried seafood we ordered (greasy, tasteless and I suspect not very fresh). We also ordered two fried chicken breasts which were very dry, over-cooked and I suspect reheated (see photo)

We complained about the chicken and received a partial refund...but the chef should know better and we clearly received sub-standard food. Prices...

I had a booking yesterday and went all the way from Qala to marsalforn as I was curious to try it out! I was shocked / angry to find it closed. True it was stormy but there were neighboring restaurants that opened; I am not angry as it was closed as it is up to the owner's discretion --- i was angry because the management did not inform me of its closure although he had my mobile number and the website stated that it was open!!! I came here by chance looking for a meal at one of the many restaurants in Marsalforn, where it is never easy to choose between the good and the more affordable.

We started surprisingly well made Negronis, then had a nice meal for all the family (young kids and kids portions included).
