English words cannot describe my experience in Gozo, including il-Qolla i-Badja. This former battery-converted-to-nightclub-now-abandoned-building is located very close to the historic Salt Pans and the gorgeous grotto, Weid al-Ghesri, among several others. Photo opportunities do not even render justice to this wildly beautiful place. The battery was locked up when I was there (December 2019), but around the grounds and outside were accessible, plus there are signs explaining the historical significance of il-Qolla.
