I am a resident of Mgarr and always drive past the sign for Ta Hagrat, meaning to have a look to see if it is worth visiting with friends one day. Just went out for a walk, saw the signpost and walked down to the site. There is no actual information about the site itself outside of the gate, but there is on the wall, half a metre inside the gate, which I went to read. As soon as I stood there, a female security guard came out of her box 20 metres away and asked for my ticket. I explained that I wasn't looking to walk around the site now, I merely wanted to read the information and come back another time. The security guard then told me that I am not allowed to read the information literally inside the gate without a ticket. What a ridiculous and rude way to treat a potential, future customer(s), especially those that walk off the street to look and don't have any prior knowledge...
Read moreI hate to do bad reviews.I had asked at a tourist information office for bus details. She got on the website and confirmed i had to catch bus 101.The bus goes every hour.just missed the bus.It turned out the temple was closed anyway.I took two photographs. We went to the actual site and were told that we could buy tickets next to the other site in the town Ta Skorba, so we walked the 1 km there and bought a ticket in the cafe next to it (and had a delicious lunch as well!). Then walked back to...
