I emailed weeks ago to book a horse ride for me and my friend, the response was barely an text message. I asked all politely if we needed to know anything in specific or bring anything, ask for prices and other details, the owner barely answered. There was no good morning, no kind regards, he didnât ask my name or my contact. A few days before the day I booked, I tried to email to modify the time and add an extra person. No answer. I then called on the day (to the phone number it was on google) and a man answered saying I had to call his partner cuz he was not the one there at the stable, I then tried to call the number he gave me and got no answer. We decided to go anyway, as it was already booked. The weather was a bit drizziling (but we literally ride in worse weather in Ireland). We took a ferry from Malta to gozo to go there, and when we arrived (in the middle of nowhere) the owner said the weather is not good to ride and then basically sent us away. My advice? Learn how to run a business, answer people properly on emails, create a website with basic information for clients, ask clients their phone number so you can call them when you have to cancel the ride because of weather. Simple. Things. Having a simple/family business doesnât mean being messy and careless and oblivious. I am extremely disappointed after all the good comments...

After a rather boring trip at golden bay horseriding we decided to give it another shot and try out the gozo stables. We booked a private tour for 100 euro each, for 2 hours. In the end we gave these awesome men 280 euros and would have even given 300 if we hadn't ran out of cash.
I learned more about horseriding in those 2 hours than in 7 trips before together. We had the pleasure to go with Joe whilst the other group went with charlie. He really took his time to teach us how to handle the horse. We saw beautiful landscapes and were fully operating the horse (not just monothonly walk a path up and down). As we were enjoying the trip we had the chance to talk with joe and realised, that most of his animals are rescued animals. There are aproximately 20 horses, chickens, gooses, donkeys, cats, dogs, sheeps and so on. Charlie and joe took care of all these abandoned animals and treat them good. One can see that they do this with their heart... This was so heartwarming that we decided to give such a huge tip.
I wish there would be more people like this ond the world. Furthermore joe took really good and lots (and i mean lots) of photos and videos from this unforgettable experience.
Keep up the good work guys and to all who are reading this review: support them! You will definitely...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went for a horse riding tour in Gozo! We were completely beginners and it was nerve-racking at first but the owner of the farm was super friendly and guided us through everything. When we arrived at the horse riding farm, we could totally see it's an awesome family business. The son of the owner gave us the helmets and then the horses got ready and it started. We did not have to wait and either we hadn't time to be scared, because everything was going super fast and then we already sat on our horses. On the farm were many pets and it felt really loving. There were cats, dogs, chickens and obviously many horses. The tour was really awesome with a fantastic view over Gozo. The time flew by. Definitely recommend doing that! The owner was always by our side and gave us not only information about the horses, he helped us with useful horse-riding tips. He took pictures the whole time, so you won't forget your amazing time !
Just try it out, you won't...
