Revised 3 times now. I have visited this area back in 2012, 2015 and 2019.
This was the place my brother in law paid for my wife and I to go on our honeymoon. I need to add, this was a blessing. Since that day I've gone back two more times and can definitely say, I'll go back again. That's been 3 visits in 7 years. Highly recommended it for anyone to visit.
To be honest, Hurricane Odile was rough to The Arch of Cabo back in Oct, 2014. I can remember when the water would go back with low tide, you could see some beach area around the base of The Arch. On one of visits back in 2015, there was no longer a small beach. The beach is gone from the base but in all, it's still a beautiful place to go see yourself.
You need to take a water taxi to get there. Don't pay more then $10 per person. They'll try to get you for more to see if you bite. They will drop you off and pick you up about an hour later if you request it. So you can enjoy Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach. Take some nice pictures and selfies around the rocks and closer to the cliff. Ask the locals resident from that area why they named those beaches like that and they will tell you why it's called like that. Just enjoy this beautiful area.
I have been to the Cabo Arch many times by boat and it never gets old. Every time friends or family visit Cabo this is one of the first places I take them because it is one of the most iconic and beautiful spots in the area.
Seeing the Arch from the water is an amazing experience. Most boats slow down or stop for a few minutes so everyone can take photos, and the views of the rock formations and the ocean are incredible. It is one of those places that really shows how beautiful Cabo San Lucas is.
One of my favorite times to be there is around sunset. When the sun starts going down behind the rock formations the sky lights up with amazing colors and the reflection on the water makes it even more special. During the daytime it is just as beautiful with bright blue water and clear views of the Arch.
If you are visiting Cabo for the first time, going out on a boat to see the Arch is something you absolutely should not miss. It is a perfect place to stop for photos and enjoy the scenery, and it is always one of the highlights of any trip to Cabo.
The day that we visited, the waves were really strong, therefore we couldnât visit lovers beach. We were only able to ride up to take pictures. We were able however to swim up to a side beach and did some snorkeling.
If you want to take a boat up to these sights, you can find one on the harbor/dock. Donât go with the first person who offers you their services. I recommend walking around a bit and asking around for prices. We went with Captain Saul, he was very nice. He stayed with us while we snorkeled and sunbathed on the beach. He also provided food for the fishes. There is a rock that has some coral on it that the fishes weâre eating off of so we mostly stayed above that to see the fishes swim around us.
My Uber driver told me that every boat will charge you a $2 âtaxâ to take you to see the arc but I thinks thatâs a total lie and they pocket that money for themselves.
Anyhow, it was a beautiful experience and I highly recommend it, just donât get caught up in all the touristy things! âïž
