Playa de los Amantes, or Lovers Beach, is a beautiful and secluded beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The beach is small, but the crystal-clear blue-green water is a joy to swim in, as long as you know how to swim. The beach has a rustic and natural atmosphere, with no amenities such as restrooms, showers, or food vendors. However, locals may be present selling beer or water from their coolers.
The beach is best suited for swimming, but be aware that the current can be strong, even though it is safe to swim. If you're looking for a beach to swim at in Cabo, Playa de los Amantes is one of the only options, making it a great choice for those interested in swimming.
However, getting to the beach can be challenging. You can take a water taxi from the marina or climb over the rocks from the Grand Solmar resort and walk across Divorce Beach. I would not recommend the latter option for anyone with a disability or who is scared of heights, as it can be treacherous. The rocks are extremely large and the way is not clearly marked so you have to figure it out yourself. It's worth it if you are able. Please be careful.
Overall, Playa de los Amantes is a great choice for those who are looking for a secluded and natural beach experience, but be aware of the challenges involved in...
Read moreBeautiful but small. Waves were crazy so not relaxing at all if you want to be in the water. It was a "must see" here so we did it but don't feel the need to go back. Pack enough food and drinks; beach blanket. A couple of people were there selling drinks, Mango and coconut but that's it. No bathrooms. People were also there selling jewelry, pictures with iguanas, hair braiding and massages.
Was a pain to get to. We went through the Solmar Resort, walked down the beach to the end but the climb to Lovers beach was way too dangerous. A younger couple with backpacks even attempted and backed out so figured it wasn't a good idea for us. We ended up getting a water taxi for $20 each person for a round trip. The taxi took us to see Lands End and El Arco so was worth it. Plus we stayed a few hours.
Divorce beach is actually way bigger but...
Read moreI would recommend everyone to check out the beach with the local water taxi. It is inexpensive instead of booking through Sunwing from your resort. We actually booked through them and paid way too much the first time when we went on a gloomy day (still pretty on the gloomy day). They picked us up from the front of our resort, took us on a little tour of the streets and we boarded from the boat area. I felt like this was a waste of a day since we had alot of people on our boat, didn't really want to walk around to buy anything, and food was expensive on the streets.
The water taxi is alot cheaper even with a tip included, they gave us a tour all around, asked us the drop off and pickup time. We stayed there for 3 hours. They picked us from our resort beach and dropped us back to the beach. It was a...
