Guayabitos beach — Attraction in Compostela

Beautiful beach!!! 😍 Very lively! Lots of fun. This is a great beach to bring the kids & family! It is a shallow beach without and steep drop offs. Great for younger children who love to play at the shore.

Rent an umbrella & enjoy vendors passing by all day long, starting usually at 11am, selling everything from freshly shucked oysters to fresh fruit to grilled shrimp or fish on a stick, meal plates including rice beans tortillas salsa, deserts (doughnuts, cheesecake, ice cream, shaved ice, chocolate flan, etc.), massages on the beach, hair braiding, jet ski rentals, banana boat trips, boat rides to the island, etc... You will feel like royalty sitting on this beach with all of the vendors passing by. You can have all your hear desires for a very economical price.

This beach can get crowded, umbrella to umbrella, but the people are very friendly, so it adds to the fun. Get there before 11am for the best spot on the beach!

People tend to bring their own speakers, so you may be listening to 3 difderent radio stations at the same time as the beach becomes busier later...

The beach is really beautiful. We were able to request for an umbrella with some chairs right away. However, it was a bit hard to relax here at this beach because we were asked to buy something from some vendor about every minute. It was hard to just keep saying no thanks a million times. I couldn't nap or just sunbathe. The only way to avoid this was to spend your entire time in the water. As much as I appreciate the availability of items and foods sold on the beach, I didn't need it to happen every minute. I wouldn't have minded every 30 minutes being asked if I wanted something, but every minute was too unbearable. So I didn't stay here...

Nice local beach. Water isn't clear, not it's very clean ( some garbage come your way once in a while, but we did our part and picked up garage when we can!) There was NO algae at all ( end of July) which I find was very nice. Sand was soft, sparkly and kids had fun playing and observing sea creatures ( little crabs, seashells, pelicans, etc). Beach has seafood market, and variety of stands with local foods ( tacos, birria, pastry, cocos, etc) very cheap and tasty. Activities: banana rides, water scooter, observe net fishing. We mostly stayed in quiet area and enjoyed beautiful views and warm ocean. Waves were fun and safe....
