Pizzas Mona Lisa — Restaurant in Compostela

I don't like to give negative reviews, but in this case I do so reluctantly. The staff is friendly; the ambiance is terrific; the location is central to everything in RdG. But the pizza isn't great. It isn't even good. There are no shortages of toppings, but their flavor is bland. The cheese is adequate, but lacking in "cheesiness." But the part that really lets down the pizza is the crust: It is thin, but it's more like soft matzo cracker than actual pizza crust. This was the biggest surprise, because I saw a number of trays of dough, prepared before dinner service, resting and (I had assumed) rising. I had high hopes for a yeasty, crunchy product. This place was actually really good! I’m the middle of a rain storm in 85% humidity, this was the place to be. Well for me im that moment lol.

Very nice open space, plenty of tables to sit at. The columns are a nice little touch to add to the vibe of the place.

We got in before the restaurant closed. A bit late in the evening. The service was fast and we ordered a large pizza with half and half toppings. A Mexican style on one side and a ham and pepperoni on the other side. Pizza was good and it was light. The crust was premade and it was like a cookie crust. Overall it was a nice and tasty pizza.
