First of all, when you get an email, these people don't take pride in their work, or want to be held accountable for what they say; therefore, they omit their name at the end of the message. Do these people even understand the Record Retention guidelines in the USA? I am trying to get medical records for a relative who was born in 1985 in one of the US hospitals, but because the law only requires hospitals to store records for a maximum of 10 years; thereafter, you are on your own -- and good luck trying to get your records. That's why it's always good to get copies of your records on a yearly basis, so that you can have everything you need in case there's an issue. I've been wanting to write an email to Tanya C. Anderson, General Consul of the Guadalajara Embassy, but it's like pulling teeth. Nowhere on their website do you see any other email other than what is offered when you send an email to the "Consulate". Are these people qualified to work at this place? It seems as if they are living in the 19th Century. Who in their right mind keeps a baby's footprint record, or the band applied to his ankle when he's born? What mother worries about getting her medical record, once the baby is sent home? My experience trying to help my friend has been futile until now. So if anyone out there can give me advise on how to approach the situation, I would really appreciate it. I am going to write a formal letter to Ms. Anderson, but mail takes a month from USA to Mexico (snail -mail we call it). I am also thinking about sending a letter to the OIG, so that they can guide me on what to do, or where else to seek help for this 30+ US Citizen in Mexico, who now wants to come to the States on vacation, and visit her dad and...

I went to stamp my US work visa/H1B (renewal). I am an Indian passport holder. My appointment was at 8:15 am. I reached at 7 AM. The queue was about 2 blocks long on the road. Phones or anything digital like smart watches not allowed. Locker services available for ~100 pesos nearby. Just walk around and you will see "Lockers" sign. You stand in the queue once phone is given away. Staff come and check your documents and separate you into Tourist visa queue vs Others. Ask few times to ensure that you are in the right queue because I was initially kept on the tourist line and had to check again to move to the other queue. I just took the document folder and wallet (phone in locker). Security checks your stuff and you walk through a detector Once inside, they check your name against their appointment list Then staff will check your passport and put passport, I797A and DS160 together and tie with a rubber band and will give you and ask you to wait in an area. Another staff will come take that set of documents from you and later another officer gives it back to you with an MRV stamp on DS160. Now, you go and stand in a line for the interview. For me Interview was simple. I didn't have my degree at hand, so I got 221G, but they said soft copy is good enough, and asked me to come back at 3 PM when I requested an early processing if possible. I sent the documents as soon as I got my phone in hand. With so much anxiety I went back at 3 PM, (no need to store your phone at this point again in lockers, but I did because I didn't know). I got my passport with stamped visa the same day as my...

While I appreciate the fact that the consulate processed my emergency passport when I needed it, I wish their employees would give accurate information as to what documents are needed when going to the consulate. Twice I've shown up and been told that I need more documents, even after verifying in person. Not to mention the long curly haired person in charge of calling people back to the gate is absolutely rude and has no problem talking down and over people who are simply asking questions. Point being, I was incorrectly informed about the documents and that person totally gaslighted me as to what I'd been told to bring with me even though I wasn't rude or combative was only letting her know I hadn't been fully informed. I have no problem bringing the correct forms and documents with me as I have them anyway, BUT I should have been told to bring those documents from the get, and definitely should not have been talked down to and over by that gate person when I was simply seeking clarification from a government...
