CASA VIVA — Attraction in Mexico City

I found this place on airbnb and wanted to rent it for six months. The owner gave me his personal contact (which is not legal in terms of conditions on airbnb) and he even asked me to pay more money then airbnb was offering me(whereas aibnb includes all the other fees like cleaning and everything which I was gonna do on my own) I shoud have detected this swindle since early beginnig. The prices of all the rooms were very uneven and the owner tries to get even more money from everyone when he gets the occasion. I was paying the highest rent compering to all the other people even though all rooms were exactly the same.... Before coming to Mexico he asked me to send him the deposit through Paypal, it is been 4moths I left Mexico and I didn't hear about him. He still owns me 250euros. A gem in the middle of fantastic Mexico City.

I came to perform in Mexico - and encounter this residency/performance art venue/gallery and it blew my mind. The house is filled with art and stories of artists that have performed here. While I stayed here, I shared my time with other artists/like minded individuals that created a small community.

The space is awesome, clean and spacious; the location is great and there is access to metros and metrobuses really close by; the community is friendly and my host was really helpful in giving me tips about the area - A is a super host. He gave us a bunch of local tips of must see restaurants/bars, shopping and all were a 10/10.

I will definitely come back to CASA VIVA on my next trip to Mexico. I highly recommend...

I came as a guest artist to perform in Mexico, and stayed at Casa Viva. The house is full of art, and the environment is so conducive for creativity, rest, and introspection. There were other artists staying at the time and we could use our down time to check in with each other and talk about our work.
