The diversity of materials is getting from good to average. There are some products that in case you need replacements (like the fans with LED lamps) they don't have them. The prices are Ok, sometimes even better that other local store options. The best is the staff that always help you find the stuff you are looking for, mainly because they like to change from one hall to other from time to time, and even the staff sometimes get confused about the current order. At the entrance sometimes they have exhibit flowers, but don't care if are laying on the ground, same happens in the garden area where some small trees fell behind the counters and they can lay forever there. Some improvement in order will be good.

Came in for an outdoor trashcan. On the trashcan it states that it comes with a lid. I had 2 workers tell me that they did not have the lids. Came to customer service, they could care less about selling the complete product. Finally got to speak to a manager and an hour and a half later I have a trashcan with its proper lid. Lots of employees walking around with NO willingness to help!!

It was pouring rain when I arrived at this store. A worker was meandering in the parking lot with a huge umbrella and he came over to my car and walked me into the store under his umbrella. Fantastic! The store carries just about everything you'd expect in the US but the wood product selection is not as extensive or varied. The workers that I talked to were friendly to me with my broken Spanish... Update 7.1.19... They have a sale on plants right now. For 10 or 20 pesos you can buy houseplants that appear poor but just need a little TLC. We bought some and they are doing fine. As others have noted, the employees are hard to find and not that willing to help. But my last visit I needed a staple gun and una muchacha led me right to the display and made sure I saw all the different options and picked out the correct staples for me. There are indeed some good employees. I hope their management reads these reviews... Update 7.15.19 I have a love/hate relationship with this store... Grrrrrrr. Today was hate. Bought fittings for gas pipe and bought wood and hardware. Most of the wood and gas fittings were poorly marked so the cashier had no idea what to do. While 6 angry people waited in line behind me, another worker had to go back into the store and write down the numbers of several items and make their way back to my register. It took waaaay too much time to check out. Nothing like Home Depot or Lowes or Menards in the U.S. My advice? Take a picture of every sticker on the shelves where you find your purchases and then if the cashier can't find your item in the system, at least you can show them the photo of the item...

Avoid this place under any means necessary. Trust me, you are in for a bad time dealing with incompetent, lazy and dishonest people from the moment you walk in, all the way to trying to have your purchases installed. There are not a lot of options in Playa, so we ended up being duped into buying an air conditioner from them since ours is busted. We were doubtful about also buying their installation package, and they essentially PROMISED us it would be installed in the agreed date. Big mistake! When the installers arrived, they were looking for any excuse to avoid doing their job. And then they said that I needed a “technical visit first” prior to installation so as to have everything they need. The sales people NEVER mentioned anything about buying extra material or equipment or even a so called technical visit. When I checked with the manufacturer in the US, they essentially told me it was nonsense and that everything in my home is set up exactly as they needed. However, since the installers are paid by visit, not by job, they were still able to cash in. When I complained, they just laughed at me and hung up. I’m taking this to main headquarters, believe you me. Someone is going to lose their job over this. It seems like this is a common occurrence, especially if you don’t bribe your way into good service. I lost all this time that could have been spent finding someone that wants to work for an honest living. Now we are here in the middle of the summer with elderly family members and a non functioning A/C. ...

Fairly standard DIY/building materials store with the usual stock of both quality (makita etc) power tools and the cheap knock offs. Its as overpriced as the other chain stores but you get peace of mind here as I'm told they're not sharks when dealing with faulty items and will refund/replace without much fuss. Lots of parking, no café. Usually the queues are a little bit longer than hoped for but it's a good temperature inside so it's not uncomfortable. The list of items they sell is too long to list here but they have a white goods as well as a gardening section. I'm regularly here, it's friendly and easy to find what you want if it's not too specialist.

Update 26/4/23. I've been a lot since my review four years ago and they're still good here. However, two days ago I caught a couple in a van doing something to my car while parked in the home depot parking lot. They'd disconnected the alarm and drove off when they saw me returning to my car. I don't know how often this happens but worth bearing in mind when parking here. I was in the far car park by...
