Nice beach. It is a must visit. Park along the side of the road. Look for the crocodiles by the coconut stand. The water on the west side of Cozumel was really rough, but water on "the other side" was calmer and swimable. We snorkeled and saw many fish (good not great) We had lunch there. The food was good. Fajitas were $20. Guacamole was $11. Beer was $5. Daiquiri was $12 That was okay, but since we had 3 couples there, and they wouldn't do 3 bills, we had to figure it out ourselves. We added up our bills with tips (18%), and we didn't pool enough money to match his bill - which was a paper with a number written on it. After trying to add it up several times, we told the waiter he must have added in some food we didn't get. He checked it over and said it was right, then, and only then, did he let us know he added in a gratuity. I was disappointed in him. This information wasn't on the menu either. How many people just get their amount, trust him to do the math right, and then add in another tip. I would have given a higher rating if I didn't feel ripped off. (How much did he give...
Read moreFantastic, FREE, and beautiful beach. This is a great place to visit when it's rough on the western side of Cozumel because the water can be a lot calmer (unless the hurricane is offshore).
There are some bars nearby, but just walk past them to the right side, and you can set down on the beach. If you don't want to pay, then don't use the chairs.
This is a fine sandy beach with lots of 🐠 fishes, big (size of your palm and possibly bigger) and small (tiny ones by the rocks. If you're looking for a place to snorkel by the shore, and you don't have to pay any resort fees to get in, then this is the place!
You would have to rent a taxi or a car to get here. Cellphone coverage is also non-existent, which is good if you want to escape, but not good if you're lost and trying...
Read moreWe went down there on a day when it was super windy up north and the harbor was closed for no diving. Its an absolutely beautiful beach. White powder sand and turquoise water, atleast the day we were there. Unfortunately, everyone else on the island had the same idea to go down south and escape the wind. The service is slow or atleast that day it was. Took an hour to get food and the prices are a little steep. I think we paid $107 for 4 plates of tacos and a couple drinks. Its a great place to sit and have a drink and watch your kids play in the water if you like. Snorkeling is poor, but thats because i think normally this part of the island gets a little hammered with waves more...
