Scuba Reef Cozumel — Attraction in San Miguel de Cozumel

We were so lucky to meet Manuel and do our Open Water certification with him! I can't imagine a better experience than the one we just had, and I would absolutely recommend Scuba Reef to anyone who's into diving or wants to give it a try.

From the moment you meet him, Manuel treats you like a friend and has tons of great recommendations to help you enjoy the island. We booked the course in advance, and everything was smooth from the start. It was so easy to get in touch, and Manuel provided us with all the information we needed before heading to Cozumel.

Above all, diving with him totally exceeded our expectations—it was incredible. Manuel is a fantastic instructor and such a fun person to hang out with. His enthusiasm for diving and marine life is contagious. We visited some beautiful spots and came back with memories to last a lifetime. And, of course, with a strong desire to dive even more.

I was a PADI Assistant Instructor some time ago and came back to scuba a year ago. I went to Cozumel with a friend who wanted to learn to dive. We looked at a few dive shops/instructors and found Scuba Reef. We were very lucky, in my opinion to find Manuel. His professionalism and style of instruction suited my friend very well. The boat and Captain he used was also excellent. Not only did my friend attain his Open Water but we had some epic diving and excellent experience with Manuel, Jorge (Skipper) and Edmundo (Dive Master). The aftercare from Manuel was excellent, he clearly loves diving and his underwater photographs have inspired me to look into that specialism. He also recommended some local eateries which, he joined as at for drinks and food, all of which were fantastic. Both my friend and I are eager to get back and see Manu and his team for more good times and good diving. To note, Manu switches between Spanish and English with no problem and it would not surprise me if he had other languages up his sleeve. I can't recommend him highly enough. We did four fun dives and a night dive with Manuel and couldn't be happier. Short version: well priced, great communication, highly communicative in person and via Whatsapp. Great dive guide too.

Longer version: We can only recommend going with Manuel. He is an incredibly nice, entertaining individual who made every dive feel like a main event. The boat is nice as well, and so is el capitan. When we had a wish or a question, Manuel was only a message away and answeres quickly. He always strived to accomodate every wish we had. He took us to incredibly beautiful dive sites, gave good briefings and pointed out many things we would have missed without him. As a bonus, he makes the best lunch/ breakfast on boat we have had in our diving career so far. In the end, we even got to meet the family during our last boat rides and dives.
