A Stunning Beach Just 20 Minutes from Budva
Less than a 20-minute drive from Budva, you’ll find a breathtaking beach with crystal-clear waters. The sea is refreshingly cool and stays remarkably transparent until the afternoon. The beach itself is wide, bordered on both sides by public sections.
We visited twice — on Saturday, August 16 at 10:00 a.m. and again on Sunday, August 17 at 9:45 a.m. Each time, we easily found plenty of shaded parking spots at the entrance (just €5 for the whole day, with card payment available). The beach sits directly below the parking area. On your way down, you’ll pass a small fruit stand run by a local child — watermelon is the top seller, usually gone before noon.
Both the public and serviced areas offer plenty of sunbeds. Prices vary depending on the section: • Front row with built-in shade: €25 for two • Larger lounge-style cabanas in the middle: €50 • Back row sunbeds: €25
By 10:00 a.m. the beach was filling up, and by noon almost every spot was taken. Arriving early is highly recommended — not only to secure a sunbed, but also because the morning swimming is especially wonderful.
Facilities are excellent: showers, changing cabins, and restrooms are available. The toilets on the Budva side are particularly well-maintained and spotless. Unlike many other beaches, there are more than enough showers for everyone. A beach bar and two restaurants serve tasty food from a wide-ranging menu.
The sand is mixed with pebbles, so water shoes are helpful. Pedal boats and small boats can also be rented nearby. Music starts playing louder around 11:00 a.m., and we even caught live music in the afternoon.
There is tunnel connecting here with the Budva coastal line, interesting walkway. The tunnel is right by the restaurant ocer the hill with a good view of the beach.
Overall, the staff (either at the beach, by ice-cream kiosk or restaurant) is very friendly and helpful.
Before coming here, we had tried Horizonti in Tivat, Jaz Beach (between Budva and Tivat), and the famous Sveti Stefan. Honestly, this beach tops them all — perfect for both families and young travelers. The scenery, the water, and the overall vibe are...
Read moreNot a bad beach. Better than the others in Budva for sure. There is small pebbles so even though it's walkable, if bring sandals or water shoes. I guess the only reason I liked it was that it was an enclosed bay surrounded by mountains.
Beds are €10 for second row and €12 for first row. That's two beds and an umbrella. Extra umbrella €3.
Water so clear but had some floating garbage here and there. The sea bottom had very dirty rocks, probably from all the boats and jet skis in the area. I didn't like that jet skis were allowed to come so close to the swimming area, created unnecessary noise and waves.
There is no on beach service from the bars but lots of seating areas at the restaurant. (separate review on that)
Change rooms are gross and smell like piss. Didn't see where the bathrooms were. Nothing is clearly marked.
It's a nice walk to and from the beach along the shore and through a neat man-made tunnel. Phenomenal sunsets can be found here.
Mid September still had a full beach. All...
Read morePros: Plenty of space on the beach and in the water for everyone to move around comfortably; the water is generally clean; you have several cafes to choose from with food, drinks, and hookah/shisha. The waiters will even bring you cocktails on the beach! Your choice of loungers, couches, or cabanas (see other reviews for cost). There are adequate bathrooms on site, just note that you'll have to pay 0.50 euros each time you use them.
Cons: It's a bit of a walk getting down to the beach and the pathway isn't super developed; around midday the sand/rocks on the beach get VERY hot so be careful not to burn your feet! (The rocks are very pretty colors though). Depending on the tide you could find yourself floating in some grass/debris. None of this ruined the experience, overall it's a great local beach that...
