Hammam Ziani — Attraction in arrondissement de Sidi Belyout مقاطعة سيدي بليوط

I just left and it was my first time ever venturing inside one of these establishments. I can say it is something I would really like to do again. For those that don't know, they currently offer 3 packages that vary from half and hour to two hours (price: 350Dh-500Dh. Pay in cash). There is a green tea massage, chocolate and a combination of the two. I did chocolate and I smell like Nutella. After you pick a package, you head upstairs to change if you don't already have a change of clothes on and head downstairs to the steam room. If you're not comfortable in your birthday suit (nude) wear a bathing suit (that's what I did). You wash up first to soften your skin. After that quick wash up, one of the employees will lay you down on a table and scrub your crevices clean! After that scrub, your taken to another room, not as hot and lathered in whatever you chose from the package. You sit wrapped up in plastic for about 20 minutes then shower it off. After showering it off, you head to one more room where they massage you and give you another LIGHT scrubbing because the first one is a bit intense. They wash you off and then shampoo your hair, wash you off again, then send you back upstairs to retrieve your items from your amazing experience. I personally loved who I had, I can't remember her name but she was pretty and her English was good. Some of the staff speaks fluently but not everyone. They will still be able to help you though. After the message I wanted to get my hair blow dried upstairs and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm Afro-latina and have curly/kinky hair (3c-4a). The beautician did a great job with my hair! I was blow dried in maybe 40 minutes and my hair is almost tailbone length. I didn't feel like she was frustrated with my hair. She wasn't pulling and pushing my head around. She was pretty gentle for my standards of gentle (I'm not tender headed). It looks like I got a Brazilian blowout and all she used was heat protectant, a blow dryer, and round brush. I also didn't have a lot of fall out. There was a normal amount of hairloss. I would suggest though if you have curly/kinky hair and you want something done to it, pre detangle your hair. My hair was in a 2 braids for a week at this point so it wasn't super tangled. It seemed fairly easy for her to part and blow dry in general but I hoped me planning ahead helped with that. The blow dry is also based on your length so if I remember correctly, shoulder length is maybe 40Dh and longer starts at 60Dh. I paid 60Dh. The services I recieved were a 10 out of 10....

Despite the language barrier because I don't speak French very well nor Arabic at all, this Hammam experience was supreme. It was my first and only during my visits of Fez, Chefchaouen, and Casablanca. But it exceeded expectations for relaxation and authenticity. The cleanliness of the place was up to Western standards. As a female, it begins with undressing to just underwear and leaving your belongings in a locker. Then you'll be walked downstairs to the steam room, given your molasses-like soap and urged to lather yourself with it. Sinks of water are available to rinse. After this you are laid on a marble table to be thoroughly scrubbed and exfoliated. The dead skin comes off in clumps and you are scrubbed on both sides of your body, then rinsed with a shower. Then, you'll be lathered in a seaweed exfoliant and rolled in plastic to lay for a while. After a rinse, you are taken to another room and instructed to lay on a marble table where you are oiled up and massaged everywhere. The lady then gently scrubs you with a loufa and soap to get it all off and then puts a shampoo in your hair and massages it into the scalp. Then you rinse and go back up to change! Don't forget to tip if you have the means and enjoyed the service, of course! I loved the experience. As an aside, you should be prepared to be around many other naked women who are also being bathed and scrubbed like a baby!...

I had a good experience here. I payed 350 dirham for the 1,5h package with seaweed. We disrobed in a private changing space, only keeping our panties. Our things were put in a locker that I got the key to. We were given slippers and all the things required for the hamam. First they put black soap on us and then we go into the steam sauna for about 10 min. After that we lay down on a bench and they scrub us. It was a bit rough, but I liked it. A LOT of dead skin came off. Then they put the seaweed body mask all over us and wrapped us in plastic. We lay like that for about 20 min. Then shower it off and go in a new room for the massage. The full body massage was good. Not too soft, but not very hard either. Then they wash my hair, and I shower off my body. Was given a robe and led into another, dry, room to relax and dry up. I think it was worth the money and would recommend going here. The downside is that the women working on the guests are talking to each other all the time, and with the echo it gets quite loud. So not very relaxing in that sense. Also, non of the women spoke English, only Arabic and French. But we managed to understand what they wanted us to do.

They also have hair dresser and manicure och pedicure. I got pedicure (scrub, massage, nails cut and colored) for 120. I am happy...
