The best place to get a panoramic view of the holy city. Went with a local guy who was very knowledgeable as this city some years ago would only allow Muslims to stay here overnight. You can find the view by yourself for sure. This city is very traditional so dress accordingly. The people are friendly and can be curious too. One of the views will take you past the only round minaret in Morocco. I have included photos. One side of the city is Arabic and the other Berber. This is one of the five holy cities in the world for Muslims. August is pilgrimage month. Only practicing Muslims can enter the mosque. You can find the king’s palace next to the holy mosque. It is worth visiting here but please respect the traditions and cultures so as to have a good experience! This place can get very warm. The most captive view of the entire city is from the viewpoint which is on the other side of city.

Good spot to see the town and mausoleum from upstairs. Steep climb acceeding from central square, better to drive to the top of the hill and then walk for 2 minutes. For the grand terrasse just regain the main street and climb up for 2 minutes more . You'll see...

This village is a hidden gem. Completely underdeveloped for tourism (so barely any stores or restaurants), but very interesting maze of streets to get lost in, with an exceptional view at the top (finding the path to get there is part of...
