The last mughal emperor of India, Bahadur Shah Zafar was exiled to Burma now known as Myanmar after the uprising or war of independence in 1857 (commonly referred to as the mutiny). He died in Rangoon now known as Yangon and was buried there in an unknown location (till 1991) near his wife Zeenat Bibi's grave.
