Located in Park Sonsbeek, this Museum is a great place to visit if you have kids. They have many interactive experiments and games that teach children how to conserve water and keep it pollution-free. When we visited, the water lab was filled with kids doing experiments. The museum also covers various aspects of water, such as the sewage system, the differences between freshwater and seawater, and more. Personally, I found the global water-related stories to be an eye-opener, making me more cautious about daily water usage. However, there are some downsides. Additionally, some hands-on experiments were broken, and a few lacked clear instructions on which buttons to press and their purpose. Overall, it was a mixed...
Read moreThe museum is interesting as it explains various water-related facts and challenges in the Netherlands. My favorite sections covered sewage management, solutions for groundwater flooding in homes, and drinking water purification. While the museum touches on flooding issues in the Netherlands, it doesn’t go into great detail. Hopefully, these improvements will be considered in the near future. We visited on Sunday at 2 PM without a reservation and were able to enter easily using the...
Read moreReally interesting (kids friendly) museum dedicated to water in Arnhem. Explain visually a lot of things that the Netherlands does to improve water quality, water management, water recycling, etc. Kids will certainly enjoy it, with quite a few water-based games on the bottom floor. Indeed, the installations need some renovations and maintenance. Tip: parking is very scarce at the place (20 spots only, shared with the Brasserie next door), you can park outside, along the main road in front of the park is free parking (you need to have a permit to park within the...
