Quick Facts you won’t find anywhere else - Nov 17th, 2021

They provide towels Snorkel is free Water bed is free Food for flamingos cost $0.25 cents You can change $ for coins at the bar Take the boat faster from inside the renaissance hotel (behind the Starbucks) the boat loads in the hotel and then fills up empty seats in the marina You need to wear a mask in the boat No need to wear mask in the island There’s a small kid playground park in Iguana beach There’s a shop with flamingo everything There are binoculars next to the lounge area in Iguana Beach (you can use them to watch airplanes take off) No, you don’t need to be there when they open to feed flamingos or interact with them but they will be hungry between 7-11am and 2-5pm. Flamingos and iguanas walk between both beaches If you have a kid and you want them to interact with Flamingos then you need to be there before 10am Most people are gone by 4pm so you’ll have the flamingos all to yourself then Your day pass includes a drink (alcoholic or not, you pick) and lunch (menu in pics) It is not buffet style and the food is ridiculously amazing Cabanas can be purchased at RenArubaCabanas.com (however, I don’t recommend them unless you’re a big party) There are plenty of beach chairs, tables and hammocks to enjoy There’s a nature trail behind Flamingo beach but it is full of mosquitoes so beware There’s a volleyball court behind Iguana Beach Towards the afternoon there are no shaded areas in Flamingo beach If you want shade all day then arrive early and go to Iguana beach or rent a Cabana There are restrooms and showers available Two restaurants/bars (one in each beach) The ticket says you can’t bring beverages or food but they don’t check your bag or thermos The staff speaks English, Spanish and Dutch Yes the place is gorgeous Yes you...

Definitely a must go, it’s beautiful! Why 4 and not 5 stars… more signs needed to respect and be mindful of “wild” life. Cons: Food is just okay and as another review already said, there is nothing to prevent bird feathers and poop to be in your food, and drinks are too sugary. Eat at the hotel the food is delicious or in mainland. You feel bad for the flamingos as people harass them for pictures and content. The iguanas, people don’t walk looking down so they step on them or trip on them. It’s way too crowded for the small space, maybe a guest limit per day and more rules regarding “wild” life awareness could help.

Pros: The views are beautiful! Also all the flora and fauna you can see. Yes flamingos and iguanas but also lizards, different type of birds and fish. They have all the snorkeling equipment available so it’s definite fun. The employees are extremely nice and polite which makes the experience better. There’s a fitness center ( I don’t think it’s ever in use) but is there if you want to workout with a beautiful view. I’ll go workout there as opposed to the hotel. They have volleyball/ tennis courts as well. There’s a hiking trail full of hermit crabs, it’s beautiful.Don’t go on the trail without bug spray!!!! I repeat don’t go on the trail without bug spray!! Or just go to the beginning. Only place in Aruba where we got mosquito bites was on this trail. Avoid going too deep, or be covered. You can see wild live as soon as you step in. Watch your step so you don’t step on the crabs. A sign before entering the trail will help. There is a spa so you book treatment while you are there. Definitely enough activities to spend all day that are not just laying on the sun or going to the...

Utopia!! Heavenly!! Absolute perfection!!

The front desk staff (especially Rose) is friendly, professional, kind and full of positive energy. Check in process is smooth, efficient. and very inviting. I felt welcomed and very much appreciated. They even acknowledged my recent birthday! The hotel is immaculate, clean, smells good, spacious and modern. Bright colors, nice furniture, escalators, fancy elevators and comfort. The pool can only be described as luxurious and relaxing. The Blue bar is a full bar in the lobby with music and food being available, typical American cuisine menu. The restaurant, Aquarius, is outstanding! Clean, elegant with friendly bilingual staff. I enjoyed the seafood dinner buffet. The casino is fun and the shopping is ideal high end quality retail. The room is upscale and comfortable, and I loved that doors of the balcony in your room actually opens! That's great because each view is amazing. My room overlooked the pool and ocean.

Last but certainly not least, I must mention the access to the private island!! Taking a speedboat from the lobby of the hotel to a private flamingo beach island is amazing! There are water activities, a restaurant with ocean views and live music, tiki bars and flamingos to watch and photograph.

The Renaissance Hotel and Casino is the perfect place to stay. I didnt want to leave. This place is highly recommended ans...

Great place to relax and take gorgeous pictures with amazing flamingos. You can come to the island only if you are staying at the Renaissance hotel. I heard there is an option to buy a daily pass for like $125 and they sell a very limited amount of them (like 25-30) per day on the fist come first serve basis early an the morning, but cannot confirm that as we stayed at the hotel. You can get to the island by the high speed boat shuttle from the hotel, and it's just 8-10 minutes ride. Each person must have his/her own room key as they scan them before boarding the shuttle. There are two separate beaches on the island. To the right of the dock you get to an adult only Flamingo Beach, where you can take beautiful pictures with pink flamingos, lay down in the hammocks above the water. There are plenty of palm trees for shade, and several cabanas you can rent for additional money. And to the left of the dock is Iguana Beach with very shallow waters where families with kids may relax. It's worth staying at the hotel just for the opportunity to get here.

The best (and almost only) way to visit this private island is to stay at the Renaissance Hotel. Launches run between both the Marina Hotel, the Ocean Suites and the island every 15 minutes. There's two main beaches: the adult only Flamingo Beach and the family Iguana Beach. As well as the usual beach amenities, there's a nice restaurant on Iguana while on Flamingo there's a bar where you can also order food to be brought over. Feeding and photographing the flamingos on Flamingo Beach is most peoples highlight of their visit. There's a dispenser that provides food pellets for 25¢ close by. Each morning there is a one hour supervised period when children can visit the flamingos and there is also a ranger in attendance most of the day as obviously the hotel are concerned for the welfare of the animals. Other facilities include a souvenir shop, beach tennis court, a nature trial and private cabana's for hire. Not to be missed on a visit to Aruba, in fact worth coming to Aruba for this experience alone!

Stayed at the Renaissance hotel so the island was included. I don't think I would have wanted to pay to go to the island myself (I think it's $125 per person if you aren't staying at the hotel), but that's just because there are other beaches on the Island that are great and free - like Eagle Beach and Baby Beach. It was cool to see the flamingos and lizards, and I even got to go to the island at night for a private event after it was closed to the public, so I got to see the flamingo at sunset in the water. It is very convenient that the chairs, towels, snorkel equipment, floaties, etc are free / included in the island pass. I was able to see quite a few fish when snorkeling near the rocks on the adult only side. So I recommend taking advantage of it if you are staying at the Renaissance or Oceanside, but I probably wouldn't pay separately for the pass and would instead go to one of the other beaches in Aruba.
