I had booked a massage on the renaissance island and including in my $350 package was a ticket for a free frozen drink. I did not eat at this restaurant, I only went for my free drink. I am not a person who likes sugar frozen drinks so I asked them if they could substitute it for a coffee, and they kindly except it. All the staff there were incredibly nice. The lady who served me was also very sweet. I asked her for a coffee with hot water on the side, and without hesitation, she brought it to me in less than a few minutes. The coffee was strong and delicious. I wanted privacy and I wanted to sit down and relax and not be bothered by a waiter or waitress every two minutes. This waitress was incredible because right away she got that. She understood that I wanted to just relax on my own, and she gave me my space and did not hover over me. By looking at the people around me the food looked absolutely incredible but I was really not hungry that day. Next time I come back to the island I surely will order something from this restaurant I highly recommend it. Oh, and not to mention that the view is incredible. You cannot beat the view of a gorgeous aqua green...

We went to the island since we are staying at the Marriott and going there is free (going to the island that is, not the food). The food was better than we expected. Having seen that the Caribbean pizza is recommended on most reviews we chose that and to keep it light we got a salad to share.
The pizza did not disappoint. Amazing cheese and lots of it and the perfect amount of crispiness.
The service was great as I asked for no ice in my diet soda and so she brought us a cup of ice to put on as much as we want.
If we had the all inclusive package we would eat there again as there are lots of items on the menu that I would try, but we also want to try some local places we well.
Who knows, maybe we will eat there again...
Read moreThis is one of the best experiences my family had in aruba. Rennaissance island is absolutely amazing. Free rental equipment, a small park, flamingos and iguanas everywhere, as well as a brand new baby pelican! The food was excellent and the service even better. We checked out the flamingo side that is kid friendly from 9-10 am but then went back to the iguana side, which is family friendly. An incredible experience all around, and if you feel like splurging they have cabanas for rent on each side with some having slides that go right into the ocean. We are staying at the rennaissance so the island is a free quick ferry away and I expect we will go to it for a little bit every day until we leave. The private beaches with breaker walls make for basically ocean pools....
