Vroeger was de vlindertuin van Emmen de mooiste van Nederland. Tegenwoordig zie je in vrijwel alle dierentuinen schitterende vlindertuinen. Helaas is dit in Emmen niet gelukt. Je mist diversiteit aan vlinders en beplanting en ook de aanwezige dieren vielen mee. Al was ik wel onder de indruk van de gigantische wurgslangen aan het begin van de tuin.

Vroeger was de vlindertuin van Emmen de mooiste van Nederland. Tegenwoordig zie je in vrijwel alle dierentuinen schitterende vlindertuinen. Helaas is dit in Emmen niet gelukt. Je mist diversiteit aan vlinders en beplanting en ook de aanwezige dieren vielen mee. Al was ik wel onder de indruk van de gigantische wurgslangen aan het begin van de tuin.

Waar de meeste vlindertuinen echt het uiterlijk van een kas hebben is deze heel natuurlijk aangelegd, veel planten, rondlopende reptielen, avontuurlijke paadjes (deze zijn helaas niet rolstoelvriendelijk), kleurrijke vlinders, een kast met cocons en rupsen die je van dichtbij kunt bekijken en verschillende verblijven voor vissen, slangen en andere, grotere reptielen en schildpadden.
