A fantastic venue. The castle with its museum and long history and with its lovely gardens for walks is a must see. The castle itself has quite an extensive array of artifacts and exhibits in various rooms. The rooms are named according to the exhibits ie. the green room and there is a vast collection of photos from bygone days. One can take a beautiful canal side bike ride to Geldrop Castle from Eindhoven. Though it’s small castle, part of it, was built in 14th century and architecture has evolved over the centuries. The most fascinating thing is it’s well preserved rooms (old kitchen, library) allows you to explore the house as it was in use by family in 1970s. I really enjoyed the walk around the castle and it's gardens. The are 3 different sections, 1 old trees and small canals around the kastle, 2 a flower garden next to it with a nice cafe where you can seat outdoors and indoors, 3 exploaration garden with various activities for kids.
