Silverstone Party Center - Karting, Laser Gaming & Bowling — Attraction in Haarlemmermeer

Review of the karting track for people who want to drive seriously :

First of all, the staff is very very friendly and the amenities as well as the track itself are cool and it's certainly a nice place to be. So absolutely no complaints about either the staff or the venue.

Now the karts : they're old and slow, and the steering rack of some of the karts are just old, rusty and extremely hard. I had the opportunity to drive kart #11 and #17 and #11 was awful. #17 was a bit better in the sense that it was more drivable, but both were awfully painful to drive (keep in mind that I am a frequent karter and I am used to the rental RT8). The karts are way to slow for the track which means that by lap 2 I realized that the entire circuit, apart from the last 2 corners, is flat out (the last 2 corners are heavy hairpins). This means that it's very difficult to overtake, and that the driving experience can become very frustrating if you're stuck behind someone that's about 0-2 sec slower than you. If you're on your own it's fun I guess, but the track is not rewarding and not difficult or challenging in any way.

Conclusion : if you're even halfway serious about karting this is not the place for you. I'd much rather drive to Kartcentrum Lelystad and drive their awesome track with the RX250. If you just want to mess around with friends it's a cool place to be.

The ticketing system is ..no comment.... I was there at 14:10. I asked the lady to book me the next available round for 6 persons. She asked me to do it by my self online. Ok, i did it and i manually introduced 14:35 that i want to start (i made 25 min later because in the website say you should be 20 min earlier), i paid with iDEAL, again fast, everything allright. When i received the confirmation email, SURPRISE!!! Our booking time was 16:15 (2 hours to wait) i went to the office and the lady (with good customer service) said that they put me in the available time. Why the hell you didn't wanted to make me the tickets at the office and tell me that thing? The next available round for a group of 6 is in 2 hours? Why the hell the website let me introduce 14:35 for 6 without warning me that is no free spots until xx:xx time.
