Escape Room Down The Hatch — Attraction in Leidschendam-Voorburg

Google filter removed my honest review from March 2023. I'll try to post it again, because Molly's Game deserves it, as it is still my No 1 Escape Room after 1,5 years:

In March 2023 my husband and I were playing Molly's Game. We played several high-end escape games, but Molly surpassed everything we ever experienced. It already started with the entrance into the beautifully designed lounge which was somehow it's own little part of the game. We have never met anybody who made us feel like we were definitely stepping into another world. Until now I cannot explain how it works - I don't even want to know - but we were completely losing the feeling for time and place. Decoration, storyline, riddles - everything matched so perfectly together and the transitions left us astonished all the time. It felt like one of those crazy dreams you cannot describe with any adequate words.

This is by far the best experience we ever had. The whole atmosphere was so impressive that I came out crying.

I LOVED this game - I've done well over 100 games and this is in my top 2 games ever! The theming in each of the rooms and the transition between rooms was just so impressive. The puzzles, the atmosphere and the fantastic GM Benito who looked after us so well. Loved how it was 90 minutes rather than the usual 60. We didn't succeed in completing it but we were very close and as a couple we definitely worked hard to get through all the things to be done. We actually did a one day trip to Den Haag just to play Molly‘s Game (2.5 hours drive) and we did not regret it.

If you like elaborate sets (and elaborate stories), play it! If you can deal with linear puzzling, which is the only way to incorporate story-driven material into games and a lot of transitions imho, play it! If you are not shy of a tiny bit of physical investment, play it. If you can deal with some morbidity and a few slightly scary things, play it.

There is not much you could improve here, though I would have some ideas, but my rating is a solid five...
