What a pleasant sight driving in Zuid Rotterdam. Had a chance to go inside and prayer. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The only issue is the timing of prayers. They have no fixed prayer times as compared to other mosques. The times are +10 mins after the start time of prayer for the first three and the next two are at the exact start time. Confusing??? Also I would like to add that I was disappointed to see the lack of maintenance and mess on the outside and overgrown grass. For such a beautiful building and forecourt, it's a shame to see it in such a state. This should be complimentary to the mosque...

Al-Salam Mosque is the largest mosque in the Netherlands and one of the largest in Western Europe. This mosque was designed by a Dutch engineer, who used Mamluk architecture in Cairo as his inspiration in the design of the mosque.
