An absolutely amazing archaeological museum. It is super fun and engaging for kids with many interactive exhibits as well as a petting zoo. And best of all it is free! It is one of the few museums in the Netherlands that doesn't charge admission. So it is definitely worth checking out.

We visited this museum as it is part of a trail we are walking. The Roman Limes Path. I really enjoyed looking around this beautiful light museum that is home to an ancient Roman boat and artefacts. There was no wait to get in and entrance was free.

Surprising to visit this museum in the middle of Leidse Rijn. You can learn the history of the area back from 5500BC with the entry price of 0.0€.
