Totally worth on terms of value and my kid enjoyed the place. There are multiple play areas, mostly outdoor. A fantastic experience to engage with other children. The restaurant is nice and cosy. The staffs are children friendly, except the guy with beard manning the beads section. At first, he was commenting that my kid was too young. Upon seeing us deciding to give it a go, he then said "Of cos you can try", other comments from him, "its no shame from giving up"(before the child can even understand how to go about doing the activity), "its been 15 mins and he is still not completing", "children are greedy, they want to ...and the parents ended up doing it", obviously he was referring to me. The station is quite empty. We are the only people there. So I asked him, what age group is this activity meant for and his reply was 3 and above. My kid is 4, and being shorter than probably most European kids he had seen because we are Asians. Before the kid can even try, what is it about telling the kid no shame in giving up? Children are curious especially when it comes to things they have not tried or seen, so how does the term "greedy" gels in. If the staff had been to Asia, and he would probably had seen a common sight that the parents will usually work on activities with their kids, so what's the fuss about parents completing the work, afterall kids attention span is short. I feel sorry for brining him to this station and he has to hear it, afterall we especially speaks English and it, being our first language (the child can perfectly understand). I can't imagine if there are other children who are of special needs hear comments like these. I felt really stressed throughout the activity, wanting to leave the station asap. I didn't because my child is not giving up. And after the beads, my child picked up scissors and started cutting some worksheets. He commented again. Cant remember the words but its something like u, kid, u are wasting my paper. Total discrimination! Things like these shouldn't be happening in a country like Netherlands. Moreover its...
Read moreAwesome, family-friendly place to visit with your little Dino explorers! Been there last week for most of a day, pretty much on a whim as we wanted something to do with our kids and the original plan fell through. One of the best decisions we made during our stay in the Netherlands! Decent prices, many fun activities for kids (I would recommend ten years or younger though, for the older kids there are less attractions (big slide, climbing wall, climbing volcano but they can still be entertained...). You can bring water/snacks in, the prices at Cafe etc are reasonable and the pizzas are large. Don't miss checking out the Indiana Jones inspired inside of the cafe or the small pilots bar!
Starting at the parking lot there was a helpful ranger (with stylish uniform) to guide us to a good spot, not easy with a big family car and the tight spots. Front desk was very short wait and multilanguage supported. Everyone was friendly and helpful and enthusiastic in what they were doing. You did not see bored or disaffected teenagers in a summerjob wishing to be somewhere else. Nope. The teenagers on their summerjob were all nice, friendly and seemed to had some fun while working. Special thanks to the "labcoats" and the Lasertag employees at this point! Only two attractions were closed (VR T-Rex show and one other small thing), everything else in good shape. Kids loved the playgrounds and the three level (!) rope and bridge climbing setup. Everything was setup with love to detail and attention.
A dino meet-and-greet, nice theater show (only during vacation time though), the waterplane with "pilot" - there was something going on all the time and things to discover permanently.
There is quite a variety of possible things to explore, if you rush you can do all in one day - but you may want to take your time and come back for a...
Read moreHugh theme park with a lot of different attractions. There are several playgrounds on the areal and you'll always find something free. The main theme is of course dinosaurs. So you'll find a lot of sculptures. Some of them show movements. There are even more attractions like a laser tag dome, a skeleton which has be digged out, something for climbing, cars to be driven,... A "discovery zone" is located in a glass house with different things to do. And there is a in-house playground... You can spend the whole day there and you'll find at least one more attraction!
The personal was so friendly and always smiling. On our visit it was very hot and you got water for free. There is one big restaurant and several places to buy water and some snacks. The park also have a dog toilet (a separated garden).
The parking lot is next to the park. The only drawback was the quite sunny spot with the small trees (and shadow). Your car will be a little bit hot...
