Sozing — Restaurant in Zwolle

Had dinner here several weeks ago with some friends and found our experience to be okay.

We ordered the following numbers: Wan tan soep Chinees Indische rijsttafel 2pers. Hou yue nioy youk

All the dishes were of normal/good quality, yet (understandably) caucasianized. They all had plenty of flavour, good sizing to the portions and came with either rice/nasi or bami.

It is an Chinese-Indonesian restaurant and flavourwise also quite fused in some dishes. I found the fried food entre that came rijsttafel a bit too much "fried", but that probably differs per person.

The stewed beef dish was very beautifully seasoned with some pieces being very tender and some a little dry. The chicken dish was tender and the sweet egg dish was of regular quality as well.

Service was kind, the food took around 25min to come out and the restaurant looked neat.

I'd say one of the better Asian restaurants in The Netherlands, but not up to par to the real Asian food you can get in Asia, Australia or NZ.

We’re ordering in Sozing every now and than, mostly Babi pangang. Never expecting miracles or authentic Asian cuisine, food is quickly delivered and portions are generous. This time I thought of something fresh and went for gado gado and it was the worst I ever had-mainly tauge, few slimy pieces that maybe were tofu (?) and few green beans drowned in terrible, watery peanut like sauce. Didn’t have high expectations but that was just a bit too much, if you’re running a serious business you shouldn’t be offering stuff like that. I don’t think we’re ordering there soon and if, we’ll just stick to...

We had a bit of a cheap menu, delicious though, but not what I expected. Service was awesome and very friendly staff! We were a bit in a hier and they still served us very well. The main course was oké. But the starter was a bit lesser quality, more how I would expect it in a student home. We did use a voucher. The food at other tables looked way better! So keep that in mind regarding this review, it’s based on a single experience...
