I had an upsetting experience with the Centre Manager at Eastridge Mall. I called to enquire about my lost keys on a weekend, and instead of showing any empathy or offering helpful solutions, he redirected me to the Lotto store and mentioned he wasn’t onsite on weekends. He also stated that the cleaner would have notified him if they found anything, as if to dismiss my concern entirely.
What made matters worse was his lack of compassion—he didn’t acknowledge my distress or offer to take down my number in case the keys turned up later. The interaction left me feeling like I was an inconvenience for reaching out on a weekend.
It’s fortunate Eastridge Mall has a strong anchor tenant like New World because, without it, I’d struggle to see how a small mall like this would survive. Perhaps the Centre Manager could work on being more hospitable and empathetic to improve both the customer experience and their net...
Read moreThis mall is small and peaceful.... Thats kind of it. Its not a particularly fun mall, it seems like more of "last minute mall". What i mean by that is that the mall was made with one of each of the mall essentials. Like it has 1 cafe, 1 pharmacy, 1 supermarket, 1 hair salon, 1 book store, 1 bank, 1 clothing store, and so on. Its not the type of mall you make plans to go to. Its the type of mall you go to because its your only option which doesn't necessarily mean its bad. The mall itself is pretty clean and parking is never really an issue. Its not a great mall, But its not a bad mall. Its just an ok mall. It's got a bit of all things, just at fairly exclusive pricing [but given that it's St Heliers/Kohi/Mission Bay, that's unsurprising].
