This is a great place to stop. There are several little activities all located together - crafty gift shop, small 'history'room, the cafe, gift ahop and art gallery. The old train station and little 'museum room' offers a bit of history of the area. My daughter had a cheese cake brownie, which was really good. But we didn't have any other food there, but it was busy with people having coffee and food.
The art gallery was actually very very good. Interesting artists with art that challenged as well as visually appealing. I loved many of the sculptures and outside there is metal garden art.

Read moreVery good food, good service, and the gallery is always well worth a visit. But if you're bringing a dog, though the dog-free tables are in a lovely garden, be aware the "dog-friendly" tables have no shelter and are right next to a busy road.
Worse, I could't spot a convenient place to tie our dog safely - the chairs were too light - a big risk if a dog gets startled - and the concrete tables had no leash anchor points.
On the other hand, the two dog-walking parks behind the old railway station are excellent additions...
Read moreHad rung on sat n booked a table at 1 for 8pax. Arrived at our booked time only to be spoken to very rudely there was no booking. Was told that they don't take booking for less then 10 , felt like I was being told I was lying. Was told we could sit outside in the freezing cold with two kids no thanks. They then shoved some tables together in a very uncomfortable corner. We then moved to the table next to us when they left. Took ages to get water. Food was really good, only reason I gave 3 stars.
