I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Royal New Zealand Air Force Museum in Wigram, Christchurch, and it was an experience I will never forget. The museum offers a comprehensive and captivating look into the history of aviation in New Zealand, showcasing the bravery, innovation, and dedication of the men and women who have served in the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF).

From the moment you step through the doors, you are greeted with an impressive collection of aircraft, each with its own unique story. The displays are meticulously curated, offering detailed insights into the evolution of aviation technology and the significant role the RNZAF has played in both national defense and international peacekeeping missions.

One of the highlights of the museum is the array of interactive exhibits. These are not only informative but also engaging for visitors of all ages. Whether you are sitting in a flight simulator, exploring the cockpit of a vintage aircraft, or learning about the technical aspects of aviation, there is something for everyone to enjoy and learn from. At the suvoner store, kids jackets were available we wanted buy couple of them, then realised non of those kids jackets represent RNAF and or NZ (NOT EVEN NEW ZEALAND NATIONAL FLAG OR RNAF FLAG) all the designs are represent American flag and UNAF badges) only point we were disappoint. I recently visited The Airforce Museum in Christchurch, and it's a hidden gem that's well worth the trip, despite being a bit outside the city due to its location on an old airforce base. The best part? It's absolutely free! The amount of information and the things you can see and touch are nothing short of incredible. It's a fantastic activity for children, and they have a wide array of exhibits.

I decided to take the $2NZ tour, and it was an absolute bargain. The tour allowed us to explore the inside of a plane, visit the workshop, and even go behind the black curtain where more planes are undergoing maintenance. It's fascinating to learn that they receive plane donations from the Airforce but have limited space. So please donate generously.

I highly recommend taking the tour; it's well-deserved praise. My tour guide, John, was fantastic, and it's evident that all the volunteers are passionate airplane enthusiasts with connections to the airforce. Even if you're not familiar with all the aircraft, you should still pay a visit to learn more about the history of the First and Second World War flights. A must-visit for history and aviation...
