CityFitness Wigram — Attraction in Christchurch

We are black Card holder. Myself and my partner joined together but my partner is the main member. Nobody cleared in the beginning of our join in that only main member can use massage chair and group classes otherwise in the beginning it was clear. I booked a group class being family member which means i am not allowed to go. i have been to three group classes nobody pointed myself that i am not allowed to go although i took my partner name before entering to gm and they said you are good to go. Main manager noticed in third group class that i am not allowed. She pointed me that you need to meet me after class. Still allowed me to do the class as she said she was giving favour. But after class being at customer service desks raise her voice and she i need to cancel your membership right now and called me fraud. Is that a right work to tell people when they both have filled form mentioning names when joined the gym by giving details to gym membership form. Please clear the black member ship details verbally as well. Fraud is not the word you use to people. Also, my other friends faced a same problem their system fails to find out details. Not very helpful people. I told lady i was f45'r for two years never face any confusion , the lady who is manager said here you do gym for cheap is not an excuse. Please be nice to people who are registered at-least. Not rights to disrespect them! specially when they pay on time and are...

Cannot really fault anything about this gym. After having to travel to the Moorhouse branch which was a pain to get to, as well as it's starting to show its age, as well as lacking cooling in the group fitness rooms on really hot days.

Wigram is amazing gym, 8 showers in the men's charging room and I am guessing the same in the woman's means extremely unlikely not to wait for a shower even on the most busy days. Lots of onsite parking as well as plenty on street. 15 min walking distance from my home, opps so far have still driven lol bad me.

Just $14pw for my membership that gives me full access as well as basic membership to a guest or family member if they go with me at same time or a family member can go separately, however still only can use the basic membership, no fitness classes. I did sneak my wife into a fitness class with my membership however she did also join as a full $14 member after that :-)

And even a base membership is just $7pw although only the $14 membership allows to be cancelled with one month notice.

I bet there is no other gym in Christchurch with that much benefits for such...

While we were training today at city fitness, Wigram in Christchurch, a personal trainer named Katie approached two males about them grunting whilst lifting weights and said “if you don’t shut up I’ll trespass you and call the police”, she was very hostile, rude, and aggressive. She proceeded to call the police after calling these men racist comments and 12-15 police officers showed up to arrest these men. Obviously they couldn’t be arrested as grunting in the gym is not illegal. However I believe this lady Katie is extremely racist, unprofessional and should not be working at a gym.
