1 Star - kitchen & sevadaar
I’ve been to Mandir Kitchen quite a few times, and each visit has left me increasingly disappointed. The hygiene is practically non-existent—how can a place meant for spiritual service be so careless about cleanliness? It’s deeply concerning, especially for those who come here with devotion and faith.
What’s even more troubling is the attitude of some people who act as though they own the Mandir and kitchen. This behavior creates an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment. Instead of serving with humility and genuine devotion, it feels like they are more interested in displaying power and control. There’s no real seva bhawna here, just a lot of pretense.
It’s important to mention that the 4 pujaris and 3 trustees ( that I know of, there may be more) are the only ones who seem genuinely devoted to Shri Ram Ji. They are the real gems of this place, but unfortunately, their good intentions are overshadowed by the negative actions of others.
Another major issue is the blatant dishonesty regarding the distribution of prashad. Some individuals hide the tastiest sweets and pack their own boxes, leaving the rest with less desirable offerings. I’m 100% sure the trustees or punaris are unaware of this shameful behavior. It’s disrespectful not just to the community but to the very spirit of what prashad should represent.
Moreover, I’ve noticed that some people eat while serving the prashad—whether it’s fruits, halwa, or mithai, they’re snacking as they serve. This is highly inappropriate, especially for those observing fasting or other religious rituals. It’s deeply disappointing to see such disregard for the sanctity of the service.
I would strongly suggest that, with no disrespect intended, the people involved in prashad seva take a lesson from the Gurudwara. There, the focus is on true service, humility, and equality—everything that seems to be missing here at Mandir Kitchen.
Galti maaf, but I sincerely hope Ram Ji grants sadbudhi (good sense) to everyone involved, including...

I loved the temple upstairs, plenty of own space, the deities are all arranged nicely and there were chairs for those who can't sit on the ground.
There is a community hall downstairs where they do maha prasad etc. The only down side is that the toilets are right down into the basement level. If someone needs to go urgently and they can't do stairs the lift takes s while to get to basement level before you can see signs.
So they have a great Bhagwat...
