Pinewoods Motor Park — Attraction in Hibiscus and Bays

Nice park, great family environment and good sized space and location. Our main reason for lower scoring is we stayed in deluxe cottage for four nights and despite it being advertised that the deluxe cottage accommodation offers daily servicing, which is also confirmed in the welcome package in the cottage itself and a 'please service' switch at the front of the cottage, they only serviced our room one day of three, and we had to ask back and forth multiple times for even that to occur. Then servicing didn't happen the day after, despite us asking again. Little things like daily vacuuming and taking out rubbish, as advertised, could have made our stay a lot more comfortable. Beds being made and general cleaning, also as advertised, would have a been a bonus too. For the price of the stay and minimal service received, probably wouldn't chose this option again. Pinewood is a great park there are a decent amount of grass spots in the main area of the camp and a varied mix of grass and asphalt spots up in the hill that are spread out between the large amount of cabins and permanent campers (try to stay in the main area if possible) there are a couple of ablution blocks with free unlimited time showers and smaller kitchens, there is however only one dining area. It's only a short walk to the beach and surf club, there is a decent Chinese takeaway and a four square only a five min walk away and Auckland is an easy drive for day trips if you want that sort of thing. My partner booked us here recently and we stayed in the waterways. Lovely place to stay, close enough to the city but best thing is you can walk to the beach (when it isn't raining!). Camp facilities are good. Only problem, and unfortunately it drags the whole stay down to a one star is one of the residential houses nearby seemed to have an endless party going on. Music going non stop, loud talking/yelling late at night into the night and it seemed like some sort of outdoor fire belching out smoke. A real shame as its such a beautiful spot and it's just one house ruining it with vulgar behaviour but when you've paid good money to have your precious free time ruined...
