We stayed at kitchen cabin for 2 nights. We found hair on the double bed sheet and pillows so rang the after hours phone and informed them the issue (around 7pm). A lady turned up about 15 minutes later and she questioned while looking not very impressed: "what was the problem?". She then went on to say we were the first ones to ever complain, sometimes hair get stuck from the wash and they don't always see it when the lighting is poor, had we not looked underneath, we wouldn't have seen anything. I asked her politely if we could have the sheet changed. She said "this is after my working hours, but I'll change it". I appreciate she probably had a big day of working already so thanked her for turning up promptly and changing the sheet. She left the unit looking a lot happier.
After I got into the top bunk bed, I spotted some brown stain, it looked like blood, although it could be something else. By this stage I was too tired to call her back again to change the sheet so put a blanket over it and slept on top.
While I understand sometimes these things happen and would be quite happy if she apologised for the inconvenience it has caused and changed it, I didn't appreciate being questioned and implied that we were being ridiculous for wanting sheets that looked clean. Although we have stayed at Red Beach a few times before (camping mainly) and have always had pleasant experience, I would be reluctant to stay at kitchen...
Read moreWe had an absolutely magical time here! Due to work commitments, l took five children here on my own and it was totally doable ( 3 x 7 year olds and 2 x 9 year olds). Top 10 Red Beach took all the hard bits out of camping leaving all the fun stuff to lap up. One of the kids said this campground has everything a kid wants: Rockpool beach, sandy beach, playgrounds, trampolines, flying fox, games room, room to scooter and bike, trees to climb and normal toilets!
The staff were super helpful in adding an extra day for me and answering my questions so l was well prepared for what to expect in terms of amenities. So top tips: if you’re camping with 1-3 people then there is probably enough kitchen equipment to make do, but l stayed 5 days with 6 people so l was glad l packed my own kitchen things especially plates, cutlery and cups. The fridge space is limited so l was glad l had a small chilli bin with me too. The bbq areas are awesome - clean and well maintained with bbq sheets and bbq utensils provided. The electric frying pan was a real bonus and great for my chilli con carne and then again for my pancakes.
I felt really safe with fence around the perimeter of the campsite which was great peace of mind as a woman with 5 children.
Thanks Top 10 Red Beach for a wonderful time! See you...
Read moreI spent nearly two wonderful weeks at the beachside campsite with our caravan. Originally, we only booked a few nights, but the joy of being there made us extend our stay – leaving was the hardest part!
The campsite is a perfect gateway to the beautiful red beach. Every morning, I took a few steps to the beach, and it instantly brightened my day.
I also enjoyed strolling to the other side of the beach through Jacob's Ladder. The view was stunning, and having access to the wild beach was a special privilege. Passing by the cozy, lovely baches on the way was an added delight.
The ducks and birds in the area were incredibly friendly. It was a bit sad that I couldn't feed them (I know I shouldn't), but their daily visits were the highlight of my day.
The facilities on the beachside were new and spacious. The park was kid-friendly, and watching children play in the area, sometimes trying their hand at basketball, added to the lively atmosphere.
The staff were super friendly as well. Despite a mistake on my end when extending my stay, they handled it with a smile. Seeing their friendly faces made it another happy experience. I highly recommend this beachside retreat for a relaxing and...
